I originally purchased this album as a tape for 50pence in a Woolworths bargain bin in the late 70s and from the first time I heard it it blew me away. Even on tape I could tell this was something special. I then went on to buy it on LP, CD and digitally on I Tunes. I never tire of it, superb musicianship , compositions and the production is outstanding - play it loud and the drums just absolutely pop and the bass lines superb (by Sancious himself). A masterclass by Ernest Carter on Drums and what a tight sound he gets . Stunning vocal performances by AlexLigertwood (ex Santana)and of course all cooked up by the genius of Sancious. In my mind this album is right up there with the Jazz Rock/Fusion great albums. If you are a fan of the likes of Return to Forever and Mahavishnu Orchestra then you need this in your collection. Check out his two albums before this as well 1975s Forest of Feelings and the superb 1976 Tranformation both of those albums are very good too , but for me of the 3 of this era this is the stand out. An absolute hidden gem worth discovering.
