Great!

As all 70s Elo albums , they are superb , this between Elo 2 and eldorado , great era

3rd album and Jeff Lynne starts to simplify his sound and make the songs a bit more rock orientated. Very little on here that is pop but New World Rising is very McCartney and a blueprint for what he would later perfect with Mr Blue Sky. The orchestra is more chamber than symphonic but that makes it a bit more charming and in your face that the more recognisible huge sound he would introduce on the next album Eldorado.
