Thanks for the vocal range and none stop verses.. Where are the choruses.

I've been a Deftones fan since around '96 but I'm beginning to think the day Deftones write another catchy hook is probably the same day I dust off my old skateboard & do a kickflip without landing on my backside. There are a couple of OK tracks on Gore but I am hard pressed to find a moment where anything resembling a chorus either sticks or resonates with me, which sure wasn't the case in the past.

Gore

Another amazing faultless album from the most consistent band from an era of the best music (in my humble opinion) ever created! Deftones never fail to deliver and this album is a prime example of why they are ranked up with the best of the best!

Brilliant

I'm a younger music fan(16) but I think this is a brilliant album, I love it!

Deftones

Need to lose the vocal reverb and more of the guitarist I feel but everything else is great

Worth the wait.

I felt the last two albums were career highlights for the Deftones. I pre-order Gore and it's been worth the wait. This is an awesome album. Again they move head with their sound and mature into an even better band. Had the album on repeat all day. Best songs for me are Rubicon and Hearts/Wires.

Gore by Deftone

Cutting Edge Musicians. Constantly in front of the pack. Game changer. Haunting lyrics and immense musicianship. Mind blowing. Please come up to Manchester Uk to play Deftones

A grower of a record

In all honesty, I found the last 3 Deftones records (Satuday Night Wrist, Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan) a little frustrating. All are good records, but all felt a little inconsistent and a times, predictable.
None of Gore’s cuts have left much of an impression on the first listen, but with every repeat (and I am finding this on constant loop) it is growing in impact. The complexities and subtleties coming to the fore.
The bands most consistent set of songs since their self titled effort, and possibly a creative high mark in their career - I’ll just need a few listens to decide for certain.

This isn’t deftones anymore

I’m sorry to say it, but having been a deftones fan for such a long time, i can safely say that this is not them anymore. Stephen’s guitar is dampened down by the awful tones of Chino’s guitar, and that reverb on Chino’s voice is just doing nothing for their sound.
This isn’t Deftones, this is a Chino side project.

Gore

While still maintaining their signature sound, blurring the line between beauty and brutality, Deftones have pushed the boundaries of modern metal once again. Didn't think they'd be able to top either "Diamond Eyes" or "Koi No Yokan", but they've proved me wrong. Worth every penny.

They've gone and done it again !

Change in sound, but no change in quality. These guys never fail to impress, and always try to experiment with their sound, and once again have produced a beauty !
I am so grateful to have discovered this band 15 years ago. They are as fresh now as they were then.
