Way to Go Way out West!

Disclaimer: am a huge fan, so naturally I was going to love this album. After a few years away my oh my, the WOW boys are back and this album is a journey like no other they've delivered before. Some tracks wind you up and you can't help but move to the beat (Tuesday Maybe, The Call, Running Away) while other magically draw you in and calms down (like the stunning Diamond Dust). This is up beat and great party music, but also I can work to this, zone in and focus. The 'old' tempo of Way out West reflects in some songs (Slam) but the overall sound has matured, grown without loosing the immensity that characterises their music. Bring us more guys, don't stop here!!

Almost worth the wait.

This album has been so long coming, I'd almost given up hope, but finally it has arrived and I wasn't disappointed.
There are no 8 minute epics, barring the title track itself. The rest of the album consists of 4 - 5 minute tracks, each of which could stand up on its own as a single. Featuring banging dance floor hits, and beautiful chill out tracks, it's almost been worth the wait.

It's alright

I was really looking forward to this. I have been following Nick and Jody since before Way Out West. The Album is well produced and, musically, it has some interesting melodies and arrangements. Problem is, it just never seems to go anywhere. It's basically a nice beach bar sound rather than a big room sound. If they are going for that, fine...but, for me, nothing really stands out.
Their previous albums had the brilliance of Domination, The Gift, Ajare and MindCircus; the deep groove and rhythms of Apollo and Killa; and the melodies of We Love Machine and the deep cosmic vibe of Future Perfect. There is nothing on this album that stands out...but it does bop along nicely - that's all.
Bring on the remixes...

Way Out Yessss!

Cant wait for this. Saw them live last year & they were amazing. Followed/listened to their tracks for years & their new material is superb. I recently heard 'Slam' on their Anjunadeep Edition Podcast which is taken from their new album & the vibe is awesome. Its been looped constantly for the last couple of days. The tracks available to pre listen to are just brilliant, Set My Mind being a standout.
Roll on next wk. #WOW!
