Great album!!!

I’ve been a fan of Paramore for years now and this is one of my favourite albums. They’ve evolved with the times and still kept the great sound, enthusiasm and individuality. Would highly recommend 😁

Love Album, Paramore But with a 80’s Vibe.

(I brought this album when it was released in 2017) I have Been a Fan Of Paramore since Riot And They were the very first rock band i liked. I love all of their Albums but my favourite will always be Riot. After Laughter is very Different and more poppy sounding than the previous releases, but the self titled was the start of the more pop sound. This album has a 80’s vibe throughout which I Love. the lyrics are very meaningful and dark and Still sound like the old Paramore. I can relate to some of the songs on here also why I really like the album . My Favourites are Rose Colored Boy , Fake Happy (my Favourite)Hard Times . Is Not Rubbish like some people have said on here. I am open to the change in sound and except that this Is what Paramore wanted in order to grow and still continue as a band.
I have played this album a lot of times and Love it a really good Pop Album. Will not appeal to all Paramore fans, but deserves to be given a chance. will most likely appeal to fans of their self titled release but also if u like the 80’s sound or are open to the change in sound. If not u still have their previous releases. One of my Favourite Paramore Albums And one of the best Albums Of 2017.

A new direction that doesn't bode well

Now before the hating I understand bands evolve and change but keeping a sound that made you as a band is paramount.paramores new vibe is nothing like their original sound and will put off many fans (tbh I couldn't see how they would headline rock events on this album alone unless they play old stuff) I prefer the heavier, grittier, pop punk sound they started with..this is middle of the road pop at best.

Amazing 💙💛❤️

For all of you critics out there, a band is allowed to change their genre. There's no rule that says they can't. For the last time, there is no 'old Paramore' or 'new Paramore'. They've always been the same band. Personally, I love these songs, the lyrics are deep but beautiful, Hayley's voice is as brilliant as ever, and Zac and Taylor are absolutely amazing. The three of them are gorgeous too 😂 but seriously, please, please stop hating on them because they changed their style. If it's not for you, then it's not for you. We get it. You don't have to go around talking rubbish about them so other people will be put off. Get a life. H, Z and T, I love you 💙💛❤️

Love it! Could listen to Paramore songs all day.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I love the new album. Full of feel good songs as well as songs to keep you going on a bad day. 26 is my favourite so far!

this is the best thing Paramore have ever done

I know because I have not really liked any of the albums up to this point, although there have been some good songs, CRUSH crush CRUSH being the obv example? PARAMORE go full-on pop this time and come off sounding a bit like Alphabeat crossed with late La Roux... and its all rather summery and shimmering.. and really lots of FUN! HARD TIMES is a killer single and several of the other tunes R GOOD ENUFF to follow it up, to the top of the charts! Well done Hayley and the boys.. you've finally come of age!!! After Laughter offers lots of smiles x

Amazing album!! Love every song but my fav is 26. Cant stop listening to it. Always been a massive fan of paramore and this album was worth the wait. Thank you for a beautiful relatable album. Would love to see you live but because i have Asperger's syndrome i wouldnt be able to cope with the crowds and how loud it is. Long review but worth it!! Love you guys ❤️🎶

Love, love it

I really love the new sound paramore are going for, doesn't matter what type of mood, i'm in i can listen to it and everytime it brings a new meaning. And seeing them perform over in London with their older stuff and now this is just amazing.
Been a fan since i was 12 years old, i've been a fan for 8 years 💖

Heartfelt masterpiece

This is an album that feels so personal and handmade. A rarity in the ever evolving manufactured riddled industry that used to create real works of art. Beautiful rifts, powerful bass lines, precision drumming, stunning lyrics and vocals. Best release so far of 2017.

After Laughter comes a smile

Overall: APlay-through: A- Immersion: A+Meaning: A
In a Post-Happy musicscape, Hayley William’s distinctive vocals lead you into an electro-rock/pop dreamland. Paramore blend genres, moods and effects effortlessly in sharp contrast to modern life’s growing divisions between our digital and physical identities. Get lost in the blissfully upbeat guitar and pulsating bass in ‘Forgiveness’ and savour the bittersweet, exposed lyrics within ‘Idle Worship’ before the chorus takes over with dance inducing drums for the album’s last fun-filled flourish. Evolutions away from their original sound, Paramore have matured into electronica with understated style.

Thumbs down

Gone are the Paramore we all knew and loved. I understand that artists evolve their style and music, but this just seems like an intentional switch of genre to get as many songs in as many radio stations 'Top 10'.
Absolute travesty.

No More Please

Well that is it now giving up on Paramore, have not heard such dross in a long time, on purpose anyway, bound to happen after their last weak offering. Paramore have regressed to a point where they have turned into a bubble gum teeny pop band, very sad. as an aside could you change the bands name as i still listen to your earlier albums.

It's Paramore.

I never really wrote music reviews, I just enjoy it but I feel compelled to say this is the most impressive album I've heard in years. Probably since Self-Titled also by Paramore. They're a band not afraid to change and try new stuff and everything they do they give it all. What more could you ask for? Music done at its best. You will love this album.

My absolute favourite of the year so far!

Where has Paramore gone?

One of the worst albums I've listened to. Paramore was my favourite band and have been for past 12 years but this is awful and isn't the rock music. They've sold themselves like msot rock bands these days. Get Jeremy back and get rid of Zac and the tunes like Decode, Misery business and Emergency that's what we want! Can't forget Monster too. They aren't even coming to Birmingham either on there European tour! I have certainlty saved myself some money for not paying to see them with rubbish like this they've some how produced.

ALBUM OF THE YEAR?

This is absolutely excellent. Took me a bit to get used to the new sound but boy is this a brilliant album. The juxtaposition of the light hearted, high energy instrumentation versus the depressive and anxiety ridden lyrics makes this a masterpiece. Great work by an already great band. 👏

New but still them

A different sound to their original stuff, yes. Is that a bad thing? I don't think so.
It certainly brings back memories of the late 80s/early 90s. Think Blondie and you're about there.
I love it.

Being a genre neutral band suits Paramore

More poppy than previous offerings but still with Hayley's signature vocals, their best lyrics to date coupled with really rich layered instruments with an 80s flair. This album is a joy to listen to and makes me laugh until I cry.

Para-no-more

Sounds like Hayley has lost her way.
She went all Axl Rose circa 2000 and alienated everyone who made the band what it was and sound the way it sounded.
Hayley and her hire Guns sound more like a bad 80's cover band trying to cover No Doubts worst ska era B Sides. Or how Train currently sound. It amazing how bands who made great music can just stall soo badly.
This hopefully will be a blip, she'll get some of the old band back and get back to making decent songs rather than this pap.

Disappointment

I'm a long time fan of this group. Loved all the previous albums but this is nowhere near as good. Where are the guitars and riffs that are Paramores trademark sound. Hayley's voice is brilliant as ever but this album is nothing more than a collection of middle of the road ballads which will alienate existing fans and is unlikely to attract many new ones. Sorry but I won't be buying it and will have to content myself with listening to the epic 'Riot' which to me will always be the true Paramore sound.

Different but still good.

This album is very different to the older Paramore songs but, I still respect and like it.
'Tell me how' is such a nice & mellow song. & 'Hard times' is feel good and relatable!

Matthew Jones Hereford

I am a huge Paramore fan but I've got a few negatives.. I saw them on their last tour in Cardiff and that was fantastic! A few songs on the previous album were really decent. It was obvious that Hayley was taking the band in a new direction and this album proves it. Instead of soft rock, this is more like soft pop and I don't like the direction the band is going in. It may reflect where Hayley and the band currently are at this given time but I expected so much better. Also, leaving it 3 years without producing a song in this day and age is criminal!! Music moves so fast now and I'd lost interest in Paramore through the lack of song releases. Please release some singles to keep us going before your next album, otherwise you'll continue to fall behind.

I love it🖤

My favourite song is 'Fake Happy' because when it gets into the song- it sounds a bit like 'Now'. Eventhough this is a pop version of Paramore- I still generally like this album (but I do prefer the older albums)

Too good to be true

As a long time, hardocre fan of Paramore, I may be biased, but this is one truely great album.
Following the band, these lyrics mean alot to me, giving you an emitonal insight into the bands life and I have really enjoyed watching the band adapt and change in the way they have.
I love every single song this band has put out and this album is no excpetion, lyrically they are heart renching but the tunes and melodies are joyous and make you want to get up and dance. Hayleys voice can do no wrong, Taylor is a genuis and its great to have Zac back on the drums.
Buy this and you'll never be the same again!!!

Good but not groundbreaking

Takes a few listens to get into & definitely has its underwhelming moments but overall this album is still pretty damn good & enjoyable with catchy choruses & witty lyrics
