Biosphere's best since Substrata.
From the hummable Dissolving Clouds, through the divine Birds Fly By Flapping Their Wings, to the blissed out calm of People Are Friends, Dropsonde never ceases to soothe the parts other albums cannot reach. After listening to Dropsonde, it really made me interested in his earlier works again, and rekindled the passion I had for his music in my youth. I would say that this is really up there with Substrata for shear listenability and intelligence. It never fails to capture your thoughts or moods, and ebbs along with such ease and attentiveness, you feel like you could really be there up in the clouds, bouncing soundwaves off the ground. If you are new to Biosphere's work, then make sure to check out Substrata. None of his albums could ever really surpass that masterpiece, but Dropsonde really is a different kettle of fish.
