This is a very good album with great songs - but you can't really hear them... Whoever is responsible for mixing and producing this album should feel ashamed!! Instruments are just a mish and the vocals you can hardly hear. This could have been an absolute classic - can someone remix it and re-produce it?????

The best album I have heard this year!

Somehow even better than My Love Is Cool. Highlights for me: Visions of a Life, Planet Hunter, Heavenward and Beautifully Unconventional.

How good is this album, five stars isn't enough. But not just this album it seems anything Wolf Alice do is exceptional I don't usually right reviews, so for me to do so it must mean something. Can't wait to see these live and I'm hoping that it's not too long before they released more of the same.

I was expecting something different and special given the hype surrounding this band. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but I have no idea what all the fuss is about. It just more mundane indie rock. Boring.

Absolutely exceptional! - Wolf Alice continue their trend of setting themselves apart from the norm with this album.

I loved the first album but that took a while to get into. It was wonderfully eclectic with the heavy parts being powerful and the lighter stuff being beautiful showing their vocal and instrumental skills.

I instantly bought this on release and again took a while to get into it.

Wolf Alice have a great knack of balancing an album well where I do not find myself skipping tracks and listen start to finish (there are not many albums I do that).

If you are a fan you will love this and if you have not taken the plunge on Wolf Alice give them a go for something refreshing and different in a market of too much blandness. You won't regret it.

This is a wonderful ecelectic set of songs that covers quite a few styles - shoegaze, indie pop, grunge and alt folk (think throwing muses) - in the hands of most bands this would sound like an incoherent mess - but in the hands of Wolf Alice it is just an absolutely splended, coherent set of absolutely gorgeous songs. Really excited to be seeing them in November and not stopped playing this album very very very loud since day of release - it and they deserve to be so huge.

I can't get enough of Wolf Alice. They are my new favourite band. This second album just leaves me breathless and delivers everything that I love about music. It has variety, depth, class, intelligence and individualism far above any other band I've heard in ages. It also appeals to all age groups. I'm 51 and I've already got a neck and hip ache banging away to these guys. They make me feel young and sexy again and that can't be a bad thing!

WA’s sophomore is a bold, triumphant success. Here the 4-piece have produced an extension of their first album “My Love is Cool” while jazzing up the tempos, guitar riffs and producing a more focused and cohesive sound. Their first album was a deep-rotted and sturdy foundation, here they are able to push their sound, test out hazier and fuzzier styles infused with their darkly-melancholic lyrics and sound lures. Elle’s vocals are stronger here with more howls, elongated notes and still manages to come across as ethereal in their debut. This is definitely a contender for album of the year.

They just write great songs, what else do you need to know!

After being utterly disappointed with the latest offering from The Killers, I was completely blown away by this. I don't think that there is a weak track on here and some of them are stunning. Yuk Foo, Don't Delete the Kisses and Planet Hunter deserve special mention. Definitely no difficult 2nd album syndrome here

Incredible

Close, but not quite. First five tracks outstanding. After that only three of the remaining seven tracks I would listen too again, Formidable Cool, Sadboy and the title track Visions of a Life.

Stand out track for me is Planet Hunter with Yuk Foo a close second.

Overall a great second album but not as good as their outstanding debut album.

The first track is utterly fabulous! The rest? meh..

Well done Wolf Alice, You done a good job impressing your fans, Proud of you.

Liked their first album. Loving theis one even more.

Apart from Yuk Foo, nothing exciting here. All sounds very similar and Ellie’s vocals occasionally drowned in the dirge.

❤️ Ellie’s talent is unbelievable, the different sounds she can make, the style of the songs, writing of the songs is mind blowing. If you dont like this you are crazy, such a variety and creates your brain to go wild every time you listen to one of their songs. Yuk foo and visions of a life are the best songs here, with their screamo rocky beats that are a feast to your ears, whilst the meldodic sounds of heavenward and sky musings provide relaxation. This album should be album of the year, along with paramore’s after laughter. ❤️

The EP’s were good. My Love is Cool was fantastic. This tops them both. Put on some good headphones and enjoy

they are a very unique band but i dont quite understand why its number 1? its good but not that good

Another fanatsic offering from Wolf Alice, I get all the way through the album without skipping any tracks at all, from Heavenward to Visions of life there are just so many differnet styles on offer , just listen to Yuk Foo and then go to Planet Hunter wha? this is what Wolf Alice is about wonderful.... have listened to the title track over and over and this could have been on any Black sabbath album AWESOME!

Completely topped their debut album and delivered album of the year. All tracks are fantastic but standouts are Heavenward, Don't Delete the Kisses, Sadboy, St. Purple & Green and After the Zero Hour.

Sad that Demi Lovato fans are rating this 1 star because they're above her on iTunes 😂

This album is a destroyer, absolutly incredible and everything that makes them great

Ellie vocals are pure gold. Feel like I'm reliving the 90s. Saw the band March 2016 at the Oxford 02 Academy. Back to see them in London in November. :)

can't wait for this new album! Don't Delete The Kisses is one of the most beautiful love songs i've heard - if the whole record is like that it's going to be amazing

The next addition to the Wolf Alice music collection. Seen these guys in Belfast last year and was blown away. Will see them soon and have a new album soon. What more to like. I just hope this album will have the same momentum as the last.
