Truly an album for one of those chill-out sessions. Timeless music, impeccably performed in Joni's unmistakeable lilt. A joy to listen to.

Beautiful voice, Amazing songs

This is a fantastic album, I loved every song it's deffinately an easy listening relaxing album.
My pass time is painting and I find it very hard to concentrate on what I'm doing sometimes too many distractions but I put my earphones in and listened to this album and low and behold I was in my own relaxing little world. Joni Mitchell has a such a beautiful voice and her songs are amazing. I was a little disappointed that " A Case of you " wasn't on this album but it more than made up for it. My favourites on this album are " River " and " California ".

A primer

A radio friendly selection mostly permed from pre-75, non-threatening Joni. Record company execs still don't know how to handle her even now. It's a start I suppose, though she deserved a really decent box set. Mitchell is the most naturally gifted songwriter of the second half of the 20th century. There are so many girly singer-songwriters making a decent living off a fraction of her talent (mustn't name names). This and Misses will have to do for the time being but I urge potential converts to buy all the 1970's albums instead, if you can afford it and make your own imix compilations instead. Music this important and personal shouldn't be chosen for you by a middle aged man.
