Mr c

What a weak album apart from the rza skits......it’s just that mashine Mikro/studio sound.
It’s terrible and the fact I’ve spent money on this doesn’t make sense.
I’m a massive Wu tang fan but this is weak ( like clock radio speakers )
Math is good at the commercialism but I really feel disappointed by this.

Is the WU back?

I have not been so excited in an album since Kendrick's DAMN.
This is more a Mathematics compilation than a Wu album...... hence the Wu-Tang name, not WU-TANG CLAN it is missing living member U-God and Gza only gets one track, now whilst that is the negatives out of the way, this record is still a banger, it loses the questionabvle singing LP's Better Tomorrow & 8 Diagrams were critcised over "G'd up" the low point of the album the exception, all the MC's do come with massive energy especially METHOD MAN who shines on this LP, The high points are the lead single "People Say" with Redman on fire with the Clan, "The Only One" with Rza, Cappa & Ghost with strong showings and the lesser known MC's of the clan trade verbel jabs on "If What You Say Is True" as well as Rza's "Why Why Why"
PUT IT THIS WAY COP THIS ALBUM AS IT WILL BE A CONTENDER FOR ALBUM OF THE YEAR.
Is this a return to form for the wu....... At a push maybe, but it lays the sword to most of the hip-hop out there showing Wu really is forever
One has me wondering if this is just a teaser for a Clan LP in the near future, we can only hope
I love Hip-Hop and DJ it with a passion so I thouroughly listen before rating any album

Strong Effort from the W

Despite there being only a 20 second verse from GZA (my favourite clan member) and no appearance of U-God, this is a pretty tight album. Production is good, perhaps too good; the success of 36 Chambers and Wu-Tang Forever mostly came from the rugged and gritty beats. Lyricism as you would expect, is on point; in particular, Method Man takes the lead. Alongside this, there are a few features from Redman, who has been a long term affiliate of Method Man and formerly appeared on their album ‘W.’ This is not their strongest album and you shouldn’t expect it to be. But it is a solid album and it is certainly better than the majority of Hip-Hop albums coming out today.
Listen to their first 3 albums first.
Then this. You won’t be disappointed.
