The album was released at the very last bit of December 1979, and fittingly sums up everything that happened in the '70s. There is everything: disco (Rock Love, Second Nature), mainstream rock (Last of the New Wave Riders, You Make Me Crazy), '70s pop rock (Set Me Free, Shot in the Dark), the usual Rundgren-esque ballads (The Very Last Time, Love Alone), and surprisingly, music reminiscent of Utopia's earlier progressive/psychedelic days (Caravan, The Road to Utopia) which could have been found in Another Live or Ra.
Beautiful singing from Kasim Sulton, mind-melting keyboard tricks from Roger Powell, extraordinary drumming from John Wilcox, and of course, Todd Rundgren.
