Saw him playing with Yussef Kamaal and always wondered who that amazing guitarist was. When I found out who he was and that he was still creating monstrous jams with Yussef Dayes and Rocco Palladino I knew the future of jazz was in safe hands.

The album conjures up the spirits of J Dilla, D’angelo, Fela Kuti, Eddie Hazel, Mike Stern and so many more but most importantly it’s so uniquely his and it couldn’t have come any sooner.
