The film and soundtrack is spectacular, beautifully composed with magical lyrics providing the surge of Disney magic. Whilst the soundtracks and films have minimal, interlinking comparison, Mary Poppins Returns casts a new line of hope for Mary Poppins and new Disney Fans alike. Julie Andrews is legendary, but Emily Blunt meets the title with equal measure. ❤️🎉

Marc Shaiman has often been utilised as the ‘go to composer’, who can reliably provide an uplifting or highly energising musical number, we all know his work, delighting our ears with his musical rearrangements for the Sister Act (movies), Hocus Pocus’ main song “I Put a Spell on You”, South Park the Movie’s outrageous songs and everything Hairspray! Hearing that he was going to be the key musical force behind Poppins came as no surprise, his life has been leading towards this project and he delivers masterfully. This soundtrack stands up as a joyful contribution to the Poppins world and even compliments the original, which I didn’t think could be possible. It’s a refreshing treat hearing such a lovingly produced, genuinely magical album!
