Sorry to be pedantic but I've downloaded and listened to this Nutcracker on a pair of AKG K271 Studio headphones and a pair of Sennheiser HD 435s and there is a definite hiss on this recording. You can also hear it on the Preview. (But not the same on Swan Lake.)

So purists should probably avoid - however 99% of buyers won't be bothered and for £2.49 I don't see how anyone in their right mind would complain. You gets what you pays for - and whatever the recorded quality this is outstanding music.

WOW! What a bargain! the nutcracker suite and swan lake rock! if you like this kind of music at this price, i certainly recommend Saint-Saens: Carnival of the animals. That album has many tracks refering to different animals, the dynamics are fab and PLEASE listen to the finale it is fenomena! Other comments suggest there is a hiss to be heared..... :/ ....I don't seem to hear a deffinite hiss, must be speaker problems....

Great for £2.50. Yes you have got a slight hiss if you wear headphones but on PC or HiFi you can't hear it, but like i said for £2.50 you can't go wrong!!!

I don't know whether some people's computers behave differently to others', but for me, there is most certainly a very noticeable hiss. LSO performing fantastically as per usual, but the hiss is rather off-putting. For the price, however...who can complain!

This album is a well worth buy, providing you with over 70mins of music for a tiny sum of money. And although some say you can here hissing in the background, if you were to focus on the music rather than the hissing you almost never hear it.

I have to agree with the first reviewer. There is a very definite background hiss, which I for one find very distracting. I guess it's a case of you get what you pay for.

This amazing piece of music dazled me within seconds!!! Its a simply wonderful piece of music and when I looked at the price I refreshed the page because I thought it was wrong!!! Buy it if you love this sort of music!!! Well worth the money!!!

fantastic value for two great works of music. I do agree, however with those of you who can here hissing in the background. Listening with shure headphones does reveal a slight background hiss which really does not distract you.

The Price, The Quality, Simply Amazing, Contains elements i have previously not heard, well worth the money!! I feel like I should pay more!

Be warned, while the price of this is fantastic for 70 minutes of music, there is a hiss thought all the songs. It appears to be from when the original source was recorded. This maybe off putting for some. Its like having you Microphone plugged in with with 'Mic Boost' on.

70 minutes of fine music for under £4.00 - it's a no-brainer! Thank you iTunes.
