Possibly the best album ever produced... I am a little surprised by this version though. Seems a little choppy in parts. Might be my equipment, but it's not as warm and smooth as my vinyl copy.

What a bloody sweet album have 2 copies but to get the original with only 7 song is almost impossible both my versions are bonus discs. But for crying out loud Meat has surpassed himself on Bat.

A masterpiece and the one constant in my life through all the ups and downs - will forever love Meaty and Jim for that.

An amazing album of belted out rock/opera and soulful rock. The album is a journey I go on and never want to end.

And the musical ...........Bat Out Of Hell the Musical was so good we went two nights in a row and can’t wait for it to return to the West End - I’ve never seen a standing ovation at half-time not so many people so reluctant to leave a theatre.

Absolutely brilliant

There are certain times when a songwriter meets a singer and its a match made in heaven (or hell!) and Steinman and Meat Loaf were such a combination. It takes a certain kind of singer to be able to do Steinman songs justice and over the years, Meat Loaf has proven to be the greatest at it. The songs are all powerful, dealing with subject matter we can relate to but have an epic grandiose nature about them as well as Steinman's sense of humour. There is a reason that this is in the top 5 best-selling albums of all-time....its just brilliant!

As good today as it was before. Always gets me singing & dancing :)

This is the album that never tires in my collection. Still love the vinyl I bought in the late seventies...listen to it from end to end. Not just 1 or 2 tracks! It deserves your full attention.

Chart topper for years, worn 2 tapes out and can't seem to find the original on digital. Any help appreciated :)

Words don't match this albums brilliance

Great concert, great album. Would like to see it on iTues LP and mastered.

Loved it from the moment I heard the opening bars of 'You took the words right out of my mouth' n 37 yrs on it's still one of my favourite albums. Seen him in concert n he's fantastic n a crowd pleaser. X

One of the greatest albums of all time. Nuff said.

At the time of writing this 7 people have given this album 4* or less. I'll not go too hard on them because they are probably deaf. A singer with a powerful voice, combined with a group of musicians at the top of their game created an album that still sells around 200,000 copies a year. Simply perfection.
