EVEN BETTER THAN THE DEBUT
Giant's debut Last of the Runaways is a lost classic from a different, rather simpler, era, when hearts were worn on sleeves when they weren't on fire. It's a great album, full of soaring AOR immaculately played and written and with Dan Huff's incendiary guitarwork to give it an individuality in a genre often full of copycat outfits. I think this follow up may actually top the debut. The i tunes review is spot on, not much I can add other than I think the track Save me Tonight is also a classic and it is a crying shame that Nirvana et al (great though they are) brought an end to all this. I think there is a third album( called III, i think) out there which would be great to have on I tunes and I know there is a new version of the band recording at the moment with Terry Brock of Strangeways on vocals but this is where it all peaked. Did not hear it the first time (no funds!) but great to get it on the flip.
