A loving interpretation of Handel's masterpiece

'Theodora' was Handel's penultimate oratorio and has forever lived in the shadow of 'The Messiah'.
With barnstorming arias like "Racks, gibbets" and "Dread the fruits" alongside tender lyrical masterpieces such as "Angels, ever bright and fair" or "Oh, that I on wings could rise" this oratorio is lovingly realised by William Christie and Les Ats Florissants. This is a wonderful performance of Handel at his best. This is a gem waiting to be unearthed...
