I bought this album having high hopes after Texas hold em. Beyoncé and country sounded like a sure bet. All the songs sound the same. Sounds like she’s used the same hook all the way through.

Corny concept and any part of the Jay Z/Diddy camp...... well, enough said

To many songs, and not enough quality music

My first review didn’t make it for some reason. I rated it 1 star.

It’s the worst thing I’ve ever heard and the cover of Jolene is a joke. The words are so childish… maybe her daughter wrote it…

It’s just a joke that she would even release this album.

Never purchased a album or music of her in my life mush . Was intrigued by what her take on country music would be. Very good well done

A very solid album

This has just re affirmed her place as being one of the greatest artists of the 20th and 21st century!

I’m not a hardcore country fan, and I’m not a Beyoncé fan either, however I love Texas Holdem due to the fact I used to line dance and love the “modern” upbeat country tracks you can line dance to.

Hugely dissapointed that none of these tracks are in the same genre to Texas Holdem. Having a few country singers included to try and pass off this album as “country” does not wash!

This album is most definately not fit for a Texas hoedown!

This is such an interesting album

Lots of excellent songs as Beyoncé does her own interpretation of “Country “.

Innovative & clever production as well. For me though it’s too long & could of done with some judicious pruning which would of really tightened things up. Overall very good though.

Boring

This album is a bit strange. Theres some real crackers on here along with some complete dross. Thankfully in this day and age we can download the tracks we like rather than buy the whole thing.

This album in theory should have worked but its overkill. If act 1 was long enough with its Madonna-esque house tributes by the truckload, then act 2 with its neo R&B country is just exhaustive. I actually stopped listening after track 5. Throw in the pointless Janet Jackson-esque interludes and this marathon set is just tiring and repetitive. I dont mind Beyonce but she's absolutely missed the point here. Instead of using country and turning it on its head, in a way which Madonna did 20 years ago with her album Music, shes just turned it inside out 20+ tomes over and served up a very obvious piece of recycled dirge.

Play Texas Hold em and skip the rest

Beyonce is one of the greatest of our generation and all time. To have the versatility in vocals and production of genres, to highlight cultural significance and to collaborate with such genius is simply incredible in this album. Absolutely 100 million stars for me. And also to create a visually artistic album in direct reflection of being rejected by people who never gave her a chance and dismissed her talent is QUEEN WORTHY. YES COWBOY CARTER BEYONCE!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Not impressed after listening to this album. Not much in the way of creativity or originality. Such a shame Beyoncé has chosen to do yet another bad cover version - this time of Dolly Parton’s classic ‘Jolene’. Her decision to randomly delve into the country genre is indicative of a last ditch attempt to revive a flailing career and the truth is, nobody is interested anymore. The tracks and sequencing here are a horrible mess. She hasn’t released anything interesting since ‘Formation’. May the downward decline continue for one of history’s most overrated pop stars. Can’t wait for her to disappear if this is the kind of dreadful material we’re going to get.

You can tell she wasn’t happy after those awards but she took the elegance she had and created art instead of letting anger take over. This is heart in musical form.

To have the gall to call this a country album takes the proverbial pee out of just about every country album ever made.

For all I know about Beyonce it could be a good record , I wouldn't know but I have had a listen to the previews and just don't think its a country music album. I realise it is a broad spectrum these days from country pop and hip hop but really!

But I do know what a country record is, either that or the stuff I have listened to for 50 years is something eles entirely.

Sorry but wearing a cowboy hat does not make you "country".

Cowboy Carter delivered high hopes for this album with Texas Hold ‘Em which is the best track on the album. If only all the tracks sounded like this one. Bodyguard and Alligator tears are both ok. Hmmmm. Not for me

Beyoncé did do a good job but I was hoping for a lady gaga collab and the album is a bit expensive but I think Beyoncé did good on this

I’ve listened twice. It’s okay. I expected more. For me, Her earlier stuff is much better.

All the separate songs were great but together it was to long. I didn’t actually finished because I was so bored of it. I love meaning and listening to the songs at different times in great. But somthing about it just Made me feel so tired of it after the 6th song. Great music but as an album not my favourite

Not great…. Maybe three stand out tracks the rest are just vanilla forgettable tracks that all merge into one

This is another cinematic journey that Beyoncé takes us on yet again. The greatest artist of our time, is genre bending like never before. She can do it all, and it’s some of her best work!

Beyonces voice is phenomenal

Transcendental. This has to be experienced. I’ve never heard anything like this before. It really takes you on such a journey of discovery. Rebellious and genre-bending. Beyoncé’s voice is moving in a way we’ve never heard, her tone and range makes her sound like she has 100 different voices. This is nothing you would expect but exactly something only Beyoncé could ever creatively conceive.
