I’d give it 4 out of 5 of the album, I like the songs Feels Like I’m Falling In Love, We Pray, Good Feelings, Aeterna, All My Love, Moon Music title track, Jupiter and IAAM.

The albums X&Y, Mylo Xyloto and A Rush Of Blood To The Head, I’d give 5 out of 5, but I prefer Coldplay after the first three albums, albums like Everyday Life, Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, Mylo Xyloto, A Head Full Of Dreams are brilliant stuff too, Coldplay are great.

I have to say the 1st time I listened to the album I wasn’t sure, so I went and listened to it again and I have to say it’s a grower, some of the songs just stick in your head. Came to the conclusion it’s a Great Album, well Done ColdPlay 🎶🎵🎶

Probably one of the best bands of our generation, but this album is so below par for them, disappointing.

I think this is a brilliant album and it has good songs

I wanted to love this latest album. I have listened without judgement twice. Moon music is my only favourite track, probably due to Jon Hopkins influence. The only constant in life is change, but it’s too much for me. Far too many guest artists and my wife actually likes most of it (she also listens to Cher, Kylie and radio 2). I still love the old stuff but you lost me 2-3 albums back.

They left the best song off this album - The Karate Kid - Matty Healy on piano - what a mistake!

This latest offering from Coldplay is great. I haven’t stopped listening to it for almost a week now. I would put it in my top 5 Coldplay albums. Obviously AROBTTH is my fave closely followed by X and Y.

On this album Aeterna is the stand out track for me. I also love the opening track it’s just so cinematic and beautiful. Jupiter and Hood Feelings are growing on me.

I’m also a fan of Man in the Moon on the alternative album version.

I just wish they would bring out that song which I saw on YouTube where Chris was busking in vegas. That will be a hit if it’s released.

My only gripe is that I just wish it were Coldplay I was listening to rather than Coldplay and …..

Anyways, not sure why there are one star reviews on here?

There’s obviously a lot of people on here who probably couldn’t name any one of Coldplay’s “b sides” and are clearly not lifelong fans.

At first I thought I was listening to Everyday Lives it was so similar. That’s where the comparison ends as EL was different and interesting, this is just neither. Was Jonny Buckland on holiday during this recording? If not, he might as well have been. Most of it is fluffy drivel and the lyrics, banal. For everyone giving this 5 stars, you’re not in a cult, you don’t have to bow down before the great god Martin whatever he does. Show some discernment. This is poor.

I’ve been a huge fan of Coldplay right from the start. However, I have to say this album, just like the last one, is just bland vanilla music by numbers. Where are the new stadium rocking anthems of old that we all loved? Why do they feel the need to keep collaborating with artists most of us - their original fan base that is! - don’t know from Adam? Is it just a vain attempt to stay relevant with todays youth? Seriously? Just stop and start giving your true fans what they want!! Apart from that rant the album is ok, but not a patch on what they were giving us 20 years ago.

Worth giving it a try, three good songs

If you’re struggling to sleep, then this album will definitely help. It really is a tiresome album with no stand out track.

I’ve already forgotten the songs and have no desire to listen to them again.

I know we can’t keep looking to the past but what has happened to Coldplay!? It’s like they’re not even trying with this latest offering.

I’m annoyed that they mislead us to pre order in order to get priority for tickets !!!!!!!!

I fell asleep a few times listening to this drab. Time to pack up lads, there’s nothing on it like the great music they used to make. Rubbish.

So it seems people think it’s still trendy to hate Coldplay. I really dislike Foo Fighters, but I don’t diss them in reviews just because they’re not to my musical taste.

However, it’s fine to not like an album. Even a group of people that like the same artist have different tastes. There will always be an artist’s body of work that certain people will like and dislike.

As much as I consider myself a huge Coldplay fan, I don’t love everything they’ve done. But there’s nothing wrong with that. If all their albums sounded the same it would get pretty boring very quickly. Coldplay have evolved from the typical guitar band they started out to be, into a modern and experimental pop/rock band. I think that’s brilliant and really can’t wait to see what they do next.

As for Moon Music, I’m giving it 4 out of 5. So far. It’s new and I think it might grow to 5 stars over time. If you’re looking for more ‘Parachutes’ or ‘X&Y’ then, as another reviewer has already said, go and listen to them instead. That was then, this is now. And I’m so glad it is. This is a brilliant body of work and I can’t wait to see some of these songs being performed live next year. If you enjoyed ‘Music of the Spheres’ then you should appreciate this too. A little different but a good follow up.

What’s happened to cold play.

I am a massive Coldplay fan, their concerts are incredible and their early stuff is legendary. I even like their later stuff on the whole. But this album leaves me cold. It’s over produced, I think they need to part ways with Max Martin.

Let me start by saying I’m a massive Coldplay fan. Their first four albums are flawless in my opinion, and when I’ve seen them on tour, have been sensational, but this is woeful. Despite eleven songs on the “track list” most of the album is instrumentals and interludes with a spattering of nursery rhyme lyrics (heavens above/full of love). Maybe Chris Martin is just too wealthy and happy and privileged nowadays to have anything of substance to write about, but in that case, they should probably just stick to touring the hits. I’m actually a little bit embarrassed for them at this point.

There’s seriously a song just titled “rainbow emoji”? Why?

Keep them coming Coldplay, the band everyone loves or hates. I love them and this album. Look forward to seeing them again in the UK next year. Chris you are a genius, thank you.

First couple of albums were amazing and now they sound like this.

I am not blown away with this album love two tracks We pray and the brilliant Fallinginlove. I might warm to the rest..

I mean, if I wanted to listen to Ed Sheeran, I’d listen to his ‘originals’ and not this dross. Can’t wait for their Rap reworking of Parachutes, though. It’s gonna be bangin’!

I would refer to this album as cliched coldplay, easy listening pretending to be modern and edgy. I miss the brilliant coldplay of X and Y

Is it still cool to dislike Coldplay. From the state of some of the “reviews” on here it seems many can’t wait for a new title to be released so they can upload their hatred towards Coldplay.

Please call it a day, guys. Ten albums are enough. The music isn’t creative anymore, and you’re relying on other artists to boost publicity, which is really cringeworthy. It’s time to retire.

I just went to cinemas to listen to the album early and I loved it so much that I wanted to marry it

Moon Music presents itself as another progression in the Coldplay evolution - having gravitated to a more pop-alt sound in recent years I feel they have tweaked their sound to what is current. There is no doubting you still here that destinctive Coldplay signature sound creeping through on every track but in terms of sound its about evolution.

If you expecting X&Y suggest looking for the CD and listing to it - this is current it's now and so I have no issue with it. In terms of the songs I'll give a mix 6/7 out of 10.

What next, who knows but what you do know is they are comfortable with this pop-rock sound and it works well in stadiums so I think overall the album will be a success.

It just gets progressively worse. Each album more ridiculous than the last, been gone since around 2012 barring a few stand out songs

I have it on good authority that Mr Martin (Chris) had an accident whilst recording the lyrics to track 5. He sang too loud, too freely, and thus his let slip doo doo. He went for a wash, and new pants and completed the song. But it left a lasting impression on him. So when you listen to the album, I want you to think about Mr Martin (Chris) and the emotional baggage he now carries. A punished soul. Still sings well though.

But don’t realise they don’t understand real music but just love to be spoon fed paint by numbers tunes. This stuff employs tried and tested industry methodology and occasional edgy stuff approved by labels and radio. Coldplay aren’t a band in the truest sense of the world, like so many ‘bands’ and pop stars of this level they are a business, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Taylor Swift, Foo Fighters

, many rappers etc. No love or passion but a means of sustaining affluent lifestyles and hangers on. People who are big fans of this stuff and lost their grip on their critical faculties.

Disgusting how iTunes keep this preorder in pole position on the preorders list whilst all the other preorders fall to the wayside to allow it.

It proves my point! Coldplay are good, but I hate that they are industry darlings and get preferential treatment!

Feelslikeimfallinginlove….so stylised it betrays the inevitable bore fest that follows. Coldplay are so tedious and this cliched pile of tripe is nothing new nor original. A sad and trite release and considering it’s the first track released from a new album (and considering it’s usually the best track released for a new album) it’s a dire, substandard, non-electrifying fail! And I expected no less!
