It’s rare I buy an album…

I can’t remember the last time I bought an album, but Cat’s music heals my soul. I’ve found my new favourite artist!

A little self indulgent in too many places

I really wanted to enjoy this and I’ve tried too. But I can’t get over the liberal sprinkling of self indulgence throughout. One, two tracks maybe is fine but it peppers the entire album which REALLY brings one down by the end track, which - despite its content - is actually the best one of the entire album.

Full of heart and soul!

One of my favourite albums of the year! The emotions that is so on display on the album touches the depth of the human soul and opens the door to understanding the process of grief (for both the loss of the living and the departed ones) on another level. Everyone should experience this album!

A modern day Joan Armatrading

Who is Cat Burn’s was the question I asked when Celebrity Traitor’s began, I’d never heard of her, and just dismissed her music to be like everything else in the chart without even listening to it. How wrong I was, first of all you can’t help but love her in Traitor’s she came across as such a beautiful soul which made me want to know more about her. I listened to the prereleases from the album which got me interested so much I couldn’t wait to buy the album. It’s such a beautiful collection, well written, stunning arrangements and her voice is breathtaking. Songs of sadness, hope and looking forward to the future, her writing is very much heart on sleeve. If it hadn’t been for Traitor’s I would have missed out on this beauty of an album. My partner asked me who I could compare her to, I could only describe her as a modern day Joan Armatrading, that shows how old I am.

The best album, greatest £6 you will spend. Cheaper then therapy. 5* for cat burns.
