Class

i can't help but review the jacksons' albums. although michael doesn't have the biggest part on the album it's still amazing...and gives the other brothers a chance to showcase their talent, and they have! Probably enhanced by the fact it's the only jacksons album with all 6 brothers on, my favourite tracks are 'torture' 'wait' 'one more chance' 'we can change the world' and 'body' however the whole album is impressive, although fairly short! Definately worth a listen!!

A True Victory

Michael pulled out the big guns with thriller nd i fought he wouldn't team wit his brothers again. But i wor wrong. This album is terrific. A mixed genre of songs and a fair amount of singing from all of the Jacksons. Heres my review score
Torture 5/5
Wait 4/5
One More Chance 5/5
Be Not Always 4/5
State of Shock 5/5
We Can Change the World 5/5
The Hurt 4/5
Body 4/5
A great album for the Jacksons. I highly recommend this album to any pop fan out there as you'll want to listen to each of these tracks to the end. Even if each track is at least 5 minutes long!

After Thriller....Not Before

I was ten when this originally came out and I can remember State of Shock shocking me. It was not what you would expect at the time from the Jacksons. It was harder and rockier than before but still a good song that stuck in my mind.
I would only recommend the whole album to die hard fans or completists.
As MJ has now passed away I imagine more people will be discovering this and many more Jackson/MJ music for the first time. It's simple really, click and listen to preview and if you like it buy it!
oh yes, one of the previous reviews got it wrong about this album 'Victory' coming before 'Thriller', it came after....so there :-)

Just great!

The Jackosns were great way back I mean before this and this album is also great but not quite up to their older standards, this was just as they were about to more or less finnish as a band, the other person says this was thier last album which of course was wrong, after this there was "2300 jackson street", which was the final jacksons album,..but in all honesty wasn't very good to be honest and yes easily forgotten.
"state of shock", "Body" and "Be not always" are reallty fantastic tracks from this "Victory" album, "be not always" has michael only singing all the way through and really this is an important song i feel as it shows how emotional and well Michael jackson can really sing, I have even cried listening to Michael singning this, he just puts it over so well i would say this is my favourite track from this album, and reminds me how emotional and great he put over all those other nice emotional songs like "one day in your life " and "she's out of my life"....I cant wait to I get paid to buy this again as i used to have this on vinyl, and cant wait to hear this again.
I highley recommend this album to anyone who hasn't got it and loves Mj and also loves the Jackosns older stuff, because I strongly feel this is a good piece of history, as this was the end of a very succesful band..."Michael jackson with his brothers"..the end of somtehing good and moveing on to do something even bigger and better...."Thriller".

Victory

Victory was released in 1984, at the height of Michael Jackson's Thriller era. This is so far the last album Michael recorded with his brothers.
Michael only sings on 3 of the songs on this album, being Torture, Be Not Always and State of Shock. Those 3 songs are brilliant anyway, although Be Not Always is a strange ballad that grows on you.
Michael's vocals appear briefly on Wait (lead vocals by Jackie Jackson), which is a good song and anther good song sang by Marlon Jackson called Body.
My advice is to buy the 3 songs Michael sings lead vocals and, and the 2 Michael sings briefly on.
