that most rare of beasts, jawbone is a white guy that can stand up there with the black greats of blues we all know and love (fred mcdowell, furry lewis etc etc)-the track 'walter john' is a post nam war blues classic. an antidote for todays conservative, over produced, watered down mtv tripe we all know and loathe-when you strip away all the nonsense you end up with one man and his guitar-and that aint half bad.

I cannot go on enough about this album and Jawbone. You have to get it, its essential and to not is against nature . When John Peel played it on the radio (on recommendation from Jack White) it was like hearing liquid magic. This album got me through my A-levels, and hearing him in session playing tracks from this album made the hairs on my neck stand on edge. Jackrabbit and Gasoline, are just awesome. And to think that this is the work of a one-man band makes the this album just the more wonderful. IT IS a must have for quite literally everyone, 5/5.
