Listen to this album and understand it was released in 1977. Yes, 1977. Before many of the bands like Van Halen, Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Iron Maiden had been signed. In fact in early conversations Steve Harris mentions this exact album as being an influence on his riff writing. Every song hits hard dripping with commitment and attitude. You can hear snippets of styles in the riffs that would be co opted by a generation of forthcoming bedroom guitarists that would all go on to make it in the 80's. Consider this album the 'patient zero' of everything that came in the 80's. Absolutely sensational listening.
