this was definately the wedding present at the height of their powers, this album must be played LOUD!

Steve Albini's production of this suited the band's live sound and raw edge perfectly. my top 3 album.

The album finishes at Octopussy, and you get the three track ep and some b-sides thrown in for free! (which some of us had to buy all the singles off the album to get originally!)

Wedding Present released a lot of gems during a long and productive career but Seamonsters is sublime. A lot of albums have songs you skip to for repeat play. Each song here makes a strong case for your full attention. And it's great, really.

Dark and understated, most bands achieve a definitive album, only a few of those will be great albums, this is one. Ignore the extra tracks, from Dalliance to Octopussy is a guitar/indie/grunge masterpiece.
