pure pure genius... this album has everything i want from a metal album...its got the time changes, pure heavy production and sound, its hard edged tight as a mouses earhole... i recommend this if you are a fan of metal.. and just a fan of music really... you can hear influences from many bands but they are completely on there own level and use the influences to make there own sound so brilliant...

A friend of mine on Myspace had the song "Backbone" as their profile song and when I heard it, I was impressed. I went onto Gojira's Myspace page and listened to a few other songs by them and I decided that I really like this band. Gojira have a rather unique sound to them which is the main reason why I like them, I don't know many bands that sound like them. I enjoyed the vocals, guitar and bass riff with the drum beat as it had a raw, powerful and aggressive sound to it. I'm a fan of music with this kind of feel to it and I was not disappointed. Every single song on this album sounds different but as the album progresses, each song gets better. If you are a fan of Heavy Metal, then I am very confident that you will like this band very much.

I won a gojira tshirt on rockworld.tv so they are just the best because of that but they are brilliant anyway such a strange ORIGINAL band unlike ya stupid triviums and bands like that

Gojira are part of the new wave of french metal, and its brilliant. the opening track sets the mood for the album, with things getting better with the amazing backbone. technical drumming and amazing vocals add to the ambiance of this album. no words can do this album justice, so BUY IT NOW!!!

I'm gonna keep this short as i think the album speaks for itself. This was without a doubt my most important purchase of last year. On first listen i lazily thought ''oh cool like a heavier, more straight forward Neurosis'' I was wrong. Sure there are some similarities but these guys have pretty much nailed what i want from a metal band right on the head. Tight drumming, technical (but never unlistenable) time changes, Disgustingly heavy sounding production and awesome vocals (quite Static-X esque) A pure sound track to the end of the world. For fans of Neurosis Mastodon Fear Factory(perhaps) i'll even push the boat out and say Tool. Buy it if you love METAL!!!!
