This was the first Hall & Oates album I ever bought - way back around 1976 after seeing them play an Old Grey Whistle Test live 'special' on BBC2.
I had never heard of them at this point, but was so impressed by their performance that night that I bought this album. It is undoubtedly - in my opinion - the best that they have ever produced. Every track is a standout, musically excellent and vocally superb.
I have followed their career ever since and they have evolved through several different styles, but this particular phase I consider to be their peak.
My old vinyl copy of this album has been played to death over the years and I have tried without success for several years to replace it with a CD copy - but have been unable to acquire one (I suspect that this album has been deleted from the catalogue) so I was delighted to find it is now available on iTunes.
This is a must buy for anyone who appreciates well crafted songs, great musicianship and exceptional vocals. Tracks 1 - 10 comprise the original album tracks - all are superb. Tracks 11 and 12 have been added as a bonus -they are OK, but don't add anything to the original package.
