Gotta love it!

You've gotta love some of the masterpieces held in this album! 'Monday Don't Mean Anything'... 'Amos Moses'... 'Fly'...
Another great album, and unbreakably catchy too!

I promise it'll make you swing your hips

and ache to get those cowboy boots out for a good sawdust shuffle. The album rocks, Alabama 3 rock. Frankly it's just one big spine tingling fun fest showcasing a great band drawing on what they know best to make great music for the rest of us. Buy it. Now.

It's not often...

...that I hear an album that that speaks to me the way that MOR does. It tells me that popular music has a future, that innovation has not been subsumed by commercialism, that not every lyric has to be trite, that rock still has room for another anthem (Holy Blood); that there are musicians following the path that we thought had petered out when the Beatles became Paul McCartney & Wings, when Pink Floyd finally vapourised in stage-show laser beams, that there is somewhere for dance to go, that country has been electrified and redeemed, that boogying in the aisles doesn't call for psychedelic spandex tights, that bizarre imaginings didn't fade with FZ.
There is another super group.
It is Alabama 3.
Bring on the stadia, preferably in South London.
Thankyou Alabamas (and co-artists).

La Peste - 4 stars
Power in the blood - 2 stars
Outlaw - 3 stars
MOR - 5 stars, it really is that good
For those not already familiar:
Where have you been, Goa?

when you've nuthin' left to lose....

OH YEA OH YEA ! It is impossible to overstate the greatness of this LP, a fine return to form, after the [only] 4 stars of Outlaw. The Alabamas really do define the meaning of progress - every new offering bringing something new and fresh to their canon which is fast becoming classic. highlights ? Fly; lockdown; amos moses; The Middle of The Road; Way Beyond the Blues and sweet Joy. added to the fact that the Alabama's are THE greatest live band working today, bar none, they should be mighty mighty proud of themselves. Get yourself converted today ! Love & Peace, johnny J.Love.

Reassuring...

...but let me explain... Power in the Blood and Outlaw had their great moments but were a little uneven and came with a niggling worry about a band running out of steam. But if ever there was a return to form this is it. Cracking stuff all the way through - hard to pick highlights because it's all so good, but possibly Amos Moses (D. Wayne managing to get even better than Outlaw's 'Have you seen...') - and the last two tracks are just blinders. And a great time was had by all at London's Astoria last Sunday. Congratulations to the band on keeping life worth living.

Not MOR - Centre of the universe!!!

Another masterpiece from the band, a constantly evolving sound, too complex to be pinned down with labels! Powerful songs with a social conscious that lift you spirit and make you think. The Alabama 3 are the greatest live band in the universe and this CD contains much of their live energy, if you don’t sing and dance along with this CD please consult your doctor, you may already be dead!!!

Great!

Wow this album is great, I was not such a huge fan of outlaw but M.O.R sees the band make a fantastic return to form! Sweet Joy is an amazing track as is Lockdown. Cant wait to see them live now.
