Massively overrated. Two killer tunes - the rest filler tunes.

Did I dream that or did I hear that right ? Never have I been so blown away listening to an album like this one before. I'll never get that feeling back but I'll never forget it.

Not usually my first choice in music, but I did really enjoy this record. I knew of the band through the popular Loaded and Moving On Up, what I didn't realise was some of the greatest dance songs from back in the day - Higher Than The Sun, Don't Fight It - came from this record. Buy it, you'll enjoy it.

This is a great album and worth the money.the highlight for me is the warm rythym of slip inside this house and the extended version of come together. Total classic!

Gotta love it

Everyone loves primal scream. Fact. Their completely innovative rhythms and musical combos join together every genre in glorious art.

Groundbreaking, not given enough credit

Cannot believe it's been 20 years since the E fuelled nights kicked in. This album is a mixture of psychedelia and acid house with alternative rock. If you listened to it for the first time today you wouldn't know what type of song came next, it's that eclectic.

Incredible classic

Being 21 and having only discovered this album in recent times it makes me want to jump in a time machine and be around when this dropped. Although that's impossible the album has no time boundaries! Can't get enough of it and I'm just glad its the anniversary year and they are touring with it. Number one on my must see list for TITP this year!

BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!

Whilst in terms of songs people would turn a nod to Definetly Maybe, and in terms of lasting influence Nevermind would no doubt be put forward, Screamadelica is the one that sums up a time when the biggest revolution was happening in British music since Punk. It still sounds fresh today, though, as the stunning opener Movin' On Up beckons an album that is equal parts Stones and The Orb. A timeless classic, you'd be mad not to have it in your collection.

One of the few albums where every track is a classic - daring you to remember exactly what is was you doing (with and sometimes to!)when you first listened to them. This was the soundtrack to my last year at school and first at university. The vividness of the lyrics and the fantastically constructed musical arrangements took me right back to all night house parties and early mornings in smoky rooms, secure in the knowledge that everything had changed

This is just beyond words. How can anyone describe Come Together with words? Its like trying to paint with a type-writter. I am sure it can be done but if u try it, you have missed the point.

I absolutely adore this album. Every song from the 'rolling stones-esque' movin on up to the dubby higher than the sun is incredible. Whenever someone asks why I think Primal Scream are one of the best british bands of all time, I cite this album as to why - Loaded is simply amazing. This and 'Different Class' are what I think of when I think of the 90's

Someone once said to me that Screamadelica is perfect ‘background music’. To adhere to the iTunes policy about not swearing or using offensive language, I will not print what I replied.
Comparing this thing to any sort of random ‘muzak’ or ‘elevator swamp’ is utterly obscene. Everything on this record is put there for a reason and produces an uplifting yet sorrowful and thought provoking work that transcends musical boundaries.
The whole album is consistently brilliant but check out the percussive drive of ‘Slip Inside This House’, the sax of ‘Higher Than The Sun’, the beautiful winding piano and acoustic guitar on ‘Damaged’, ‘Come Together’ (all 10 minutes of it) is not a second too long and ‘Loaded’ is just too perfect for words.
Primal Scream are intelligent, original, skilled and imaginative musicians and Screamadelica is totally essential for any music fan.

This is definately one of the greatest albums ever made. I just love everything about it. every song but especially 'Loaded' makes want to scream and everytime I listen to this album I remember how amazing Primal Scream used to be before they became a Rolling Stones tribute act. XTRMNTR re-awakened their groundbreaking streak but they will never be as good as they were on Screamadelica

I first bought this album in 2002, & can agree totally with the reviews above. A headonistic rush of dance, chillls & grooves, Screamadelica will always represent the heady days of student life, particularly loaded coungering up long nights in smoke-filled clubs dancing until dawn. a must for the generation-X's on itunes.

Yes...it's THAT good!!

An absolute Tour de Force. Truly staggering in concept and execution. When this came out we all sat open mouthed...and then partied like there was no tomorrow. For those who weren't around at that time all this may sound rather soft but nothing like it had been done before (or since). The whole album just moved you and it STILL moves me today. It sends shivers down my spine and at the ripe old age of forty that's no bad thing. One of THE albums of all time. Yes...its THAT good!!

Huge leap forward

A huge mix of styles summed up as techno rock? Maybe, in the end trying to describe what this album sounds like is pointless. It stands on its own as a major, imaginative leap from a band who seemed to want to be a Rolling Stones tribute band (all be it a very good one). The opening track is still in a Stones blues/rock style, but then it starts to get much more interesting. 'Slip Inside...' is more psycadellic with an eastern backing, 'Dont fight it...' goes rock/house, 'Higher...' then soars away into an amazing combination of drums and vocals and so it goes on. 'Loaded' is a catchy 1980s rave masterpiece. But then it goes back to the blues again with 'Damaged' which is a perfect intro to the chillout 'I'm coming down'. The weakest track is the second longer 'Higher...'. It never gets as high or spectacular as the first shorter one. The final track is a gentle end to what is an amazing album.

Timeless
