More Arctic B-sides

An arctic monkey single is always good, and this is no exception. Teddy Picker is a great song from a great album, and B sides are good as ever. No, it's not as good as the Flourescent Adolescent EP or the Brianstorm EP, but Nettles is a good (if short) taste of where the lads are heading. Bad Woman is a great song, but i reckon it would be better with Alex on vocals. The Death Ramps is the only instrumental song the band have done. The closest to this song before now would have been 'Matador'. That's not a great song, and neither is this. Still, it's worth getting this EP on the strength of the other 3 tracks. Buy it. You can't lose.
Teddy Picker 10/10
Bad Woman 9/10
Death Ramps 5/10
Nettles 9/10
(and for those of you who don't know, The Death Ramps aren't a real band, It's just the name Arctics used to release a limited edition single on the Domino website, which was tracks 3 + 4 of this EP)

...

not as good as their last EP, bu then again how can you top a song like Flourescent Adolescent? their new material isn't bad, 'Nettles' is growing on me and 'Bad Woman' would be a classic if Alex was on vocals, 'Death Ramps' shows a different side to the lads. All in all a real solid EP.

great

Dominic 23 obviously dosen't know what hes talking about. arctic rule, and it seems that they will never make a bad record. Alex Turner, is actually the best British songwriter since Paul Weller.

could be better.

I'm a big fan of the Arctic monkeys. going to see them for the 3rd time this year next week but i have to say bar teddy picker this is not a good EP. Personal i dont think that instrumentals are good and i dont think that 'The Deaths Ramps' is any exeption. i was eagerly anticipating the new tracks...sad to say i was dissapointed.

it's new material from arctic monkeys...

... so you obviously won't be disappointed.
The songs are class and don't sound similar to any other of the 59 songs that Arctic Monkeys have produced.
