Brilliant stuff pure mod 79 revival from first track to last if you don't like this you don't like mod.Bring on the next revival.

Hasn't aged well.

This was never in the same league as The Jam and Secret Affair and like the Lambrettas, time hasn't been kind. Jimmy, Slay It With Flowers and I've Been Away are the standout tracks. I Cant Stay Here and Frustration are quite good too. Title track Beat That is an embarrassment.

excellent

Had this album on vinyl back in the day.. rip roaring tunes. Was so glad to see it here on itunes, with bonus tracks too. Bought a p200e off the bass player Jeff Shadbolt back in 2000. Still a top geezer. Also watch out for Secret Affair at this years IOW rally
keep the faith

Memories!!

This was a cracking album and brings to life those days of being packed into the bridgehouse , Canning town rocking to some crisp mod tunes. A must for those who can remember it and a great intro to those who would have wanted to be there

Beat That!!

This was a top album when i first got it on 33 1/3 back in the early 80's and it still is today
The classic Jimmy track was always a top play for me and my mate in his bedroom when we were young Mods dreaming of Brighton
The classy Ive been away always reminded us of the seedy gig venues down south where the mods used to play dimly lit and well smoky
The title track took some beating too from the old needle usually covered in fluff (where did it all come from?)
get it now and close those eyes and remember the good old days.....
