Overall a good album, but not very track is perfect, the opening four are great with the rest being average, maybe slightly samey. Vocals and instrumentation are great though.

This album ripped my ears off and fed them back to me!! Double brutal!!!

Could have been better, Though there are still some good tracks the others are relatively chaff. The album's highlights being: Father of Lies, This is Exile, Possession (With an opening riff that is Revolutionary to a Deathcore or any Death genre band. Though this descends later into the song) & Messiahbolical. It's not too good. But still.

Having been very impressed with the debut album "The Somatic Defilement" with its vast technical skill and sheer brute force,This second release is a masterclass in modern death metal.

Whitechapel may have been branded with the "Metalcore" tag, but in my opinion they are more overtly death metal than most of the current american scene.

Riding in on ferocious death metal growl the album is bursting with savage blast beats, scorching riffs,mesmerising demonic vocals and the most brutal beatdowns ever.The intensity of the album never lets up.

It is the aural eqiuvalent of being pistol whipped within an inch of your life.

Well after the first album, "The Somatic Defilement", there is a huge improvement on the vocals, the album sounds like its generally had more attention paid to it, hense the vast difference in sound, unlike the first album which was a bunch of deathcore songs thrown in the air and caught in a cd "This Is Exile" is a Compilation.....
