I agree with "W"

He's right, you know... you can get all four Quadrange EPs from Bleep for a mighty £8s and for double the MP3 resolution.
With respect to the music, these are far - in my opinion - from Autechre's strongest releases. Personally I find the lack the harmonic progression of previous years (where even if it wasn't obvious was certainly implied in some way) a bit of a downer. The textures and rhythms are as intricate and well structured as ever, but the ear needs a direction to head in, and I think that's what the recent stuff misses out on. For despite Confield (et al's) cold calculatory nature, there was a harmonic and chordal direction, albeit sparse, which moved things forward.
Still, it poops all over the majority of current electronic music. It must be hard having such a reputation to stand up to.

THE CHANCES IF AE RELEASING AN HOUR LONG AMBIENT REMIX SEEMS ABIT UNLIKELY TO ME BUT ITS LOVELY and 1.99 is a good price too.

Can't sleep?
Buy this track then play it before you shut your eyes. It's a nice minimal ambient track, pretty much the same template all the way through, but it doesn't half help me drift me off into the planes of astra.
And don't worry if you wake up again half way through the song because this state of mind I have found is most conducive towards listening to Ae.
