Just every now and again you stumble across an album which ticks all the boxes and makes no mistakes - and this is one of them. I hadn't heard of Ray Wylie Hubbard until recently, and only found him when I bought Chris Knight's 'Enough Rope' album. This came up as a recommendation and, like you do, I tried it. If you like that sort of southern country blues mixed in with a bit of country rock, laid down with a texas boogie funk, then you are going to love this. Just listen to 'Snake Farm' and if you ain't convinced my name is Gomer! I bought this, laid it on to the ipod and listened to it on the train going to work. I think the other passengers started to get a bit nervous, 'cos I just couldn't keep still.

So buy it - and enjoy. This guy is BRILLIANT!
