Seen Jools and the Orchestra maybe 8 times - this is the definitive masterpiece! Buy it!

What a fantastic album ... again!! What's better? Jools and the band + guests live, becomes a real entertainment, and this CD evokes all kinds of memories of the venues we've been too. This is great!

I would never usually rate an album with 5 stars, but this is a well deserving 5/5.

Its brightening to hear an album of songs which you know encompasses so much musicality.

Ruby Turner really is the Queen of Boogie-Woogie! And Louise Marshall is completely deserving of her place in Jools' orchestra.

Another great album to add to the Jools Holland Library in my collection."I Went By" Is masterfully performed and sensitively arranged - buy the album for this alone! Just a note about Saint Louis Blues which appears to be listed as "Honey Hush" if you listen carefully!

This album has to be one of my favourites that i have purchased in the last couple of years!! I went to see Jools & co live just recently and almost every some from this album was performed and it was definately one of the most enjoyable concerts i've been to in a long time!! Ruby Turner and Louise Marshallare both great alongside jools and the whole band is just an incredible group of talent!!

After deciding to spend a New Year at home, I caught Ruby Turner performing 'The Informer' on Jools Holland and instantly fell in love. After previewing the whole album I just had to buy it - this is a great hidden gem, full of raw, real music and the amount of songs is stunning. All of them are top quality and Ruby's voice is amazing. Buy it and make your 2009 truly soulful.

Never bought a Jools album before, nor can I ever remember listening to him. This album is really cool, its bluesy and got that old soul flavour with Ruby's voice - but somehow it still sounds modern...I'm really happy with my new purchase!!

Another impeccable array of performances. The bonus disc welcomely displays a more tender side to the band's repertoire. Basically, a fantastic and varied album.

As I said he's done it again. Only just bought, what more can be said no one can touch him, it is great. His playing puts me in a good mood.
