I wonder if music has changed the world? Who cares. Phil Ochs songs changed me in a way that, say Bob Dylans never did. Phil's songs were CONVICTIONS that reached right into me. "I aint a marchn anymore", WOW, I had always disliked the military, and now here was a song that I could listen to and enjoy not only the melody but the words, "Changes" is surely, after Imagine, the most gorgeous melody and melancholia ever? This is a great album from a man who protested. I wish he was still here because brutality and injustice are even worse than they ever were. But nobody remembers how to protest through music anymore. But beautiful......
