dethgoodness but not dethgreatness

don't get me wrong this is a very good work by Dethklok but unlike the first album there are some fillers.
Laser Cannon Deth sentence is an absoulte classic but that's the only time It really hits it stride. burn the earth is a great song but it is no Birthday Dethday or Go Into the Water. in the same sense Murmaider II is a great song until you compare it with the origonal Murmaider
also the album is missing the song from Dethwedding wich was one of my favorite songs from the series
in short youre better of buying the first album first then buy the second album but you'll only really listen to one song

Doodly-Ding-Dong

A great follow up to the first Dethalbum, producing the same level of fantastic sound quality, variance of songs, and ridiculous song titles.
It has a slightly different style to the first album, losing some of the humourous lyrics and a small change in vocal style, but it's still Dethklok!
Highly recommended to metal fans.

Great Metal Album, Bad Dethklok Album.

I feel that the vocals in this album distance themselves way too much from the original songs in the TV show. I am a huge fan of the show which is why i bought this album but when i listened to songs i had to check that they even had the same vocalists. This album was not what i wanted or what i expected. The songs could of been performed by any metal band...it lacks the trademark Nathan Explosion growl that was present in the original songs (which has been exchanged for really strained, horrible sounding screams). I think that the original vocals were the backbone of Dethklok and without them then i feel that the whole album becomes generic and painful to listen to.

Dethalbum II - good but.....

The reviews are pretty good for this. This is an excellent album .......but it lacks the humour of the first. Much heavier, still a lot of fun, but try as I might I am still listening to the first album more often. Worth a purchase and one for the fans, if new to dethklok get the first album. Though I an yet to see metalocalypse series 2.

Very Good

This album is amazing and a good ahcievement, as i have been a fan of Dethklok for a good while now, my personal favourite song is Laser Cannon Deth Sentence, however, i personally prefer the smoother vocals of Dethalbum #1 as it's more distinctive, the songs are all very good but it was just a very small let down on the change of vocals. A good buy though very recommended by myself.

Turn Up to Eleven

For those unaware this is the second album from fictional Death Metal band Dethklok (from Metalocalypse). If the song titles weren't a clue this is Metal taken to extremes, just the way it should be. Dethalbum II contains full length tracks from the second season of Metalocalypse, plus a few new original tracks. Dethalbum II is slightly more 'serious' than the first album, but continues a slightly tounge in cheek approach. This album has more Death Metal 'shouty' vocals than the previous album's cleaner style, but retains the complex harmonies and riffs. Overall there are fewer anthemic songs than The Dethalbum, but still this is very good. For fans of Dethklok/Metalocalypse a must buy, if you are unfamiliar with the material I would recommend trying The Dethalbum (and the series) first.
