What a great album from Glasvegas. I'm completely new to Glasvegas' music and I can say this has made me an even bigger fan. What an outstanding album, gets better with every listen. Most people would have heard 'The World is Yours' from FIFA 12, but I can say it's not just FIFA 12 that makes it brilliant, it's the full album. Reccomended buy.

Euphoric heartbreak
Stunning follow up to their debut

Needs several listens
As a self confessed Glasvegas fan I'd been waiting on this for ages. On first listen I really wasn't sure.
I felt some of the mixing was wrong drowning out those power emotional James Allen lyrics with loud guitars and drums. The whole direction and the almost sound of 80s Joy Division left me feeling a little disappointed.
However I played it again and again and again, thankfully I did. This album is awesome, the usual themes of James Allen writing really connect and for those who ever wondered after the debut album, he really can sing. It needed a few listens but this album is amazing, a superb follow up. Thank you!

Here we fcuking go
A few years ago I wrote glasvegas were responsible for one of the best debut albums ever recorded.shoot forward a few years and their long awaited follow up arrives. having received the signed copy on Saturday morning( from their own website) I have had this on constant repeat most of the weekend I feel privileged to announce that considering how good their first was, this really is something special and probably the finest follow on album ever recorded, it's just like the first, without any swearing!!! but retains those enormous stadium filling anthems that made the first album such a powerful sing along masterpiece. This really is brilliant and deserves to be the album of the year...best song and one of the greatest anthems of all time,'whatever hurts you through the night', an absolute masterpiece of ingenious songwriting... Buy this album now .. One of the greatest albums of ALL time...

Give it a chance...
Ok, so if I'd reviewed this after first listen I'd have questioned the production, the songwriting and where this band were going. However, I gave it a few more chances and have been duly rewarded (and, thankfully, proven wrong). Far from lacking depth the beauty of the album reveals itself slowly and now has shown itself to be a truly stunning piece of work. From the Disintegration era Cure meets OMD majesty of 'Whatever Hurts You Through the Night' to the epic build-up of 'Lots, Sometimes' the album never lets up or disappoints. Chock full of classic Glasvegas tracks wrought with emotion, this is a second album not to be missed. So glad I stuck with it after the first couple of listens. What a pay-off. Brilliant!!!

Album of the Year!!
As a massive fan of Glasvegas' first album, I was hoping for something almost as good for their second album (as follow-up albums generally tend to be poorer than the first)... However, this album absolutely blows all expectations away!! It is fantastic, and is definately my Album of the Year so far for 2011!!!
MUST BUY!!!!!

Hnnng
I'm not going to lie, I discovered Glasvegas thanks to the third series of skins and although that show has seemed to dip, Glasvegas are still on top form. This album triumphs over their first, which in itself was brilliant. This album, however, is phenomenal. I find myself listening deep to the lyrics, relating to them and thinking how beautiful they are. The issues they touch on are put across in such lyrical genius way. Keep on going, Glasvegas, you inspire me!

Good 2nd album
Been looking forward to this release since the band previewed a couple of songs. Great second album but a different sound to the debut album. After 2 listens I can say it's up there as the best record of 2011

Songs of hope despite everyday despair...
Like all good albums, every song is a grower with each listen. The album will be best enjoyed in it's entirety as it's a dream like sequence of hope and despair in equal measure, with a finale of a hope for change.

This is an album that is both poetic and emotional. You can appreciate that this band are growing without loosing their roots. Long may they continue...viva la glasvegas!!!

Outstanding
After the first album I feared it couldn't be topped, this is pretty different to the first album bit the distinctive sound and raw emotion are stronger than ever. Second listen and I think, unbelievably this may be even better than their critically acclaimed debut. Outstanding.
