Another fantastic late discovery

Having somehow missed both this album and Marnie's solo album which followed, despite being a Ladytron fan back to 604, I'm pleased I stumbled across both while googling and listening to my Sonos. Really like the album. Evolves the Ladytron sound further, into a slightly softer more musical direction while not losing a sense of who they are. Listened to both this and Marnie's solo album a good few times this week, and they become more addictive with every play. Fantastic.

Wow. They actually got *better*!

I was really worried that this might not live up to the earlier albums, but if anything, it's deeper. Kickass.

Their best album

I've waited a while before posting a review because Ladytron albums take a while to settle down in the consciousness. 'Gravity The Seducer' is the album which combines the best of the band's songwriting with the best of band's sonic capabilities. Previous albums have tended to fall short because of the overwhelming soundscapes which tended to swamp any interesting melodies - scrape away the surpace and there isn't much there to satisfy the listener; 'Destroy Everything You Touch' being one of the few notable exceptions as the band was finding its feet. 'Gravity The Seducer' provides space for Ladytron's melodies to breathe. It's an excellent album.

POOR

Truly awful, the worst thing Ladytron have ever done. I do not understand how other reviewers can be listening to the same album as me.
Gutted that the band thought this should be released.
If you dont own all the previous albums, buy them and dont bother with this.
thin sounding, poor lyrically, uninspired at best.

After a few listens..............

After a few listens I got it. I was spoiled by Witching Hour and Velocifero I played to death, but definetly a great album,Ladytronish as always White Gold grips me in a vice like a trance and Ritual makes me feel like I'm in a Sci-Fi movie.Great stuff!!!

Disappointing

This album feels a bit Ladytron-by-numbers. The usual Ladytron schtick is there, but for some reason this album leaves little lasting impression with me. The main problem is that the majority of the songs are not particularly memorable. "Mirage" is probably the stand out track, and a couple of the instrumentals hark back to Bowie's Berlin trilogy of albums in style. I recall reading that lead single "Ace of Hz" was a left over from the "Witching Hour" album sessions, and I can't help but think that the rest of the album might be the same, such is the lack of innovation or, indeed, overall quality of songs.

Worth the Buy!

Same Ladytron sound but cutting edge and up to date, superb chill out and dancable tunes, this album hasnt been a dissapointment, powerful and soulful electonic beats and melodies from start to finish, Ace of Hz and White Elephant are pure win, Must Buy!

Chilled Ladytron..

This is more chilled than previous offerings.
I prefer the more tuneful 'Witching Hour' or the energy of 'Velocifero'.
It is still a good album in its own right.

Great.

This is by a long mile, the best Ladytron album to date. It is extremely listenable.
They just keep getting better and better!
Well done all!!

possibly there best work yet

Simply beautiful, this album is a modern masterpiece. The layering is typically ladytron but the lyrics have grown so strong. Amazing. x
