A stunning piece of music, MacDonalds politics come out in the open and hit you with a thud, this doubled with his love for his homeland make this album very special indeed. Highlights include "The Iolaire" an account of the sinking of the ship taking soldiers home from the war and "Santiago Stadium", a song depicting the death of Chilean folk singer Victor Jara. MacDonald takes no prisoners in his condemnation of artists who played Sun City during the apartheid era in South Africa. The album ends with "All our Dreams" a beautiful song, well crafted and sung with real passion. This a brilliant album and fully justified the praise heaped on it, especially by Dick Gaughan who called it "The best debut album he's ever heard". If you don't have this in your collection..get it
