Old school R&B at its best. My best Album buy of 2012.

Love this album, especially Lady Sunday, can see this being his next single. There are always records on an album that you dont like, but have to say there are more I like on this album than not, totally worth buying

A music genius by a mile👌

If you're a fan of R. Kelly I suspect that you, as I have, have come to accept the patently obvious fact that R. Kelly has yet to produce an album that is consistent. Of all the albums I own (bought prior to iTunes existing) only one or two tracks of each is actually good and that's why R. Kelly is a great artist for iTunes, you can pick and choose what you buy. In this album he appears to have decided that following the passings of Whitney Houston, Barry White and Michael Jackson, the world needs a replacement and he's it. You Are My World is, in my estimation, the only decent track on the album purely because he basically rips off Michael Jackson in it - listen to Jackson's Dangerous album and his song Rock my World and you'll see what I mean.

Having said all that, when R. Kelly gets it right, it's really right but when it's wrong… you're in for a boring and turgid album. Overall he gets five stars for the blatant plagiarism that is You Are My World (which is really quite good if you accept that Michael's now twirling about in his grave) and one star for the rest - a poor imitation of artists gone by. I strongly recommend previewing before buying because, as usual, the bad vastly outweighs the great. Anyone claiming R. Kelly is consistent is misguided and/or knows nothing about R. Kelly or music in general.

Good album pretty good

There are two cheesy stinkers on this record that prevent if from a 5 star rating namely the 2 uptempo tracks which are cringeworthy . That's not to say the rest isn't extremely good which it is but people need to acknowledge that these 2 tracks mar an otherwise excellent record !

This dude is legendary

I Love R.Kelly. He's been around so long consistently make excellent R&B music, which is why he's still one of the best today. This is another amazing album you'll definately need in your collection whether you're a new or old fan. Great mix of upbeat & chilled out classic R&B. Some favourites of mine are: Love Is, When A Man Lies, Clipped Wings, Fool For You, Green Light, Party Jumpin, Beautiful In This Mirror and Fallin From The Sky (Actually from his album 'Untitled') Love the album...Check it out!!

No matter if it's 1992 or 2012. R Kelly always makes great appropriate music reminding everyone is the business that he is indispensable!

This is the only artiste out there that brings us real music others just recycle songs without imagination. Kells is a genius, poet and a visionary. Long live the king. Just when i taught Love Letter wont be outdone but he pulled this out again. Track #3&4 blew me away, both mostly on replay mode. When a man lies: "..Now all d dreams she bought and d tales he told, cinderella to d old pot of gold, break her poor heart and stole her glory and left me here to tell d story, when a man liieeee....!!! R Kelly U re a LEGEND. Long Live the King

Absolutely outstanding. One of the most talented musicians around and that ever will be. Write Me Back is further evidence of this dude's genius.
