I have a thing about voices, Olly has a voice to die for, that combined with amazing lyrics is just orgasmic, in my opinion anyway.. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent.

It's such a relief to hear a heartfelt album clearly written & recorded with love and care, something that's hard to find nowadays.

This record wears Nick Drake, Elliot Smith & Joni Mitchell proudly on it's sleeve. Influenced by these great songwriters Olly Knights has added his effort to the long line of great introverts that have given us so much.

Recorded very simply on an old 8 track reel-to-reel tape machine it embraces all of the imperfections and quirks that you find in all your favourite and timeless albums of years gone by.

This is a very personal album, written and recorded very simply and quietly and given to us without fanfare. It will take you deep into the writers personal and private world, telling secrets and stories of life and love that are age old.

It's a classic and without a doubt my album of the year.

The release of this album has come just after seeing Turin Brakes live for the first time. I've bought all their albums and admired the writing and quality of musicianship in all of them. Seeing the band live was a stunning experience and it gave the lyrics even more impact. Olly's vocal range and precision really hit me.

This solo album is beautiful. The home production adds to the intensity as it is without the distractions that might exist in a normal studio environment. It's one man, with occasional help from his wife and possibly copious amounts of coffee, bringing his craft to life in perhaps the most personal way we have ever been lucky enough to experience.

It really does lend itself to be listened to as a whole, but for me, the stand-out tracks are Searching for England, Don't break before you bend, Bitten by the Frost and the title track If not now when. I played my vinyl copy initially, first time in about 20 years I've listened to a newly released album on that medium, and it added to the feeling that this was a release of great magnitude. It started with a small release of 500 signed copies, and it deserves to grow to become a major player in the download charts. If you appreciate skilled guitar playing with emotive, imaginative story telling you will not be disappointed by this magical album.

brillant album,beautifully written.reminds me of the style of jodie mitchell. really relaxing and at a time where music has become just an earful of noise all sounding the same,this is surely refreshing! well done olly!

I've got to say it took a few listening's to before I really got into this album, but once I did, I've got to say it is truly perfect. Olly's voice is just wonderful, and his guitar skills are pure magic. To say this is just a home recording confirms this man's pure genius. You need to sit down in a quiet room and relax, have a glass of wine may be.... turn the sound up so you can hear every guitar string squeek as he changes chord, lay your head back and then just take it all in. X Factor this is not!

There isn't much else to add that hasn't already been said here… this is beautiful, engaging, deeply personal music. I think you have to be made out of stone not to be moved by this album. I have tried listening to other stuff over the last couple of weeks but it's just not happening - I keep being pulled back to this gem of a record. Inspired vocals, playing and song-crafting. I really don't want this man to ever stop creating music.

This is the first album for many years that I have been playing in it's entirety back to back, over and over - I just love it. The songs are beautiful and poignant and the vibe of the whole record is lovely. What an achievement for his first (not last I hope!) solo record. I don't often post reviews but I just have to say buy this album - you won't be disappointed!

The album is simply amazing and literally everyone who has heard it loves it now buy it and spread the word!

Both moving and emotional,this is music stripped back to its bare bones,but all the more rewarding for the listener as a result.

This can feel like a very intimate experience ,you are almost eaves dropping on Olly singing by himself about things very close to his own heart. If you get to see the phillip Bloom film then you will realise that this is infact how the album was recorded.

I hope that this recording doesn,t go unnoticed,i know TB fans will love it ,but it deserves a whole lot more!

My oh my, is there no end to this mans talent? Such a beautifuly recorded and produced intimate record with exceptional songwriting. From start to finish a must have album. Just buy it!
