More of a grower than a shower

This ep is awesome! To begin with, it's a little difficult to get your head around (like a lot of Trent's stuff) but before you know it you realise that you're humming a banjo tune. Also, I think the vocals, whilst not the strongest in existence, sit well within this style of music. In summary, give this a few listens before discounting its greatness. Can't wait for the full length album :)

Gets there in the end - but don't buy it from iTunes!

Took a little getting used to after the excellent debut EP from 2010, but I like that it's different.
But really - £4.99 for 256k AAC? When you can get it in Lossless quality from the HDTA website for a little over £3?

SELF INDULGENT FLUFF

Although I was impressed by the debut EP not to mention the two (cover) songs by HTDA on TGWTDT soundtrack this is tripe. I'm not expecting a NIN release but basically this sounds like very bad NIN B-sides veiled as experimental meanderings at best. Here's hoping they remember actual tunes for the debut album...

iTunes Price Rip Off

If you download from the HTDA website you can buy this for $5 which is a damn site cheaper that the £4.99 iTunes are wanting.
On a music note I think it's one of those you will either love or hate.
I love mini !!

Evolved

Over the years it's been fascinating to listen to how Trent has grown the sound of his music, and how this has evolved to encompass a wider band of musical influence and yet still remain true to his core 'sound'. I'm a big fan of his soundtrack work and find this an impressive and evocative addition to his growing portfolio of work that does not disappoint. Would love to hear a dedicated album from these guys soon!

Disappointing EP

Reznor's made electronic music - boring :(
Been a NIN fan since 89 and a massive fan of electronic since 92 and for me just doesn't work. Trent's always been very innovative with his music but with this he's taken a step backwards.
Likely to put off many old fans of Trent's and gain very little new ones. Gutted I'm sorry to say.

An Omen is

Seething, suprising, beautiful and unexpected. Different enough from NIN and the first EP to sit proudly on its own within the Trent Reznor discography. The more you listen, the better it gets.
