Love it!!!
I've always been a huge fan of ambient / electronic music, and as such I'm always on the lookout for new music discoveries that are both inspirational (As a writer I find the right music can allow the words to flow freely to the page) yet emotional enough so that you can listen to it over and over and still be moved, so it's a joy to find something as unique, fresh and moving as Timeless Journey's new album.
I had not heard of Kelly Lavaux's before but on the recommendation of a friend I gave it a whirl, and it's been a fixture on my iPod ever since. It takes something special to make you realise a wealth of experience and creativity has been made in the production of an album (Chart stuff just doesn't cut it), but this has it in droves, and while only a relatively short album, the music on offer here presents the listener with a glimpse into another world that one can often only dream about; From the Middle Eastern influences of 'The Voyager's Saga' (My personal favourite) to the melancholia of 'Dancer in the Music Box' and the haunting beauty of 'Tell me a Story' which conjures up images of adventures in a fairytale land, I can only describe the moods on offer here as sublime. You can tell that both a lot of work and love has gone into the album and come away from a listen feeling as though you have discovered a part of yourself hitherto only seen in your dreams. Awesome!
