Download flick of the finger, it's a great track. After that, don't bother. I've been a massive Oasis fan since they started and I'd heard the hype of this album " kicking in the door of rock and roll".

This album doesn't even make it to the gate at the bottom of the garden of the house of rock and roll. There are no choruses on 90 % of the songs. This makes them unmemorable and forgettable almost straight away.

I've had this album for months now and I've tried so hard to like it but I can't. I've listened to it multiple times and it just bores me.

Their first album had its faults but at least I remembered it once I'd listened to it.

top album beady eye back on form

On first listen on release day, loved it. As of now (21 August 2013), love it even more! Purely from a musical perspective (I couldn't care less about private lives) Beady Eye are potentially great. Their vocalist is unique - a true British rock'n'roll icon. Musicianship is second to none - as individuals and most importantly collectively as a band. The songs are very good - excellent. If the songwriting quality can be honed to the level of musicianship the band exudes and the public are prepared to take a fair listen, greatness beckons surely.

Just pure Class. Noel who???

If any #1 hit song was written without the artist I.e Rhianna hardly anyone would listen too it anyway. He is known for writing brilliant music and any new song he writes will attract fans and publicity. Clearly not a music fan. Keep your unintelligent reviews to yourself and stop bashing this album.

Huge fan of oasis,love Noel's album,Noel was the brains behind oasis,Liam was the voice..god what happened!!? Noel excelled on his own,Liam fell flat on his face! This album is the worst I've EVER purchased from anywhere,terrible!liam's first album was bad enough.had a couple of tracks that were ok but this is just something else! I strongly advise against this album,seriously don't waste your money,even if you could buy it elsewhere for even £1 it's just not worth it...from one listen you'ld honestly think Liam is new to the music business..extremely,extremely amateurish,ps.ive tried giving the album the benefit of the doubt by listening to it several times but its just not working..don't waste your money.

The first Album Different Gear was ok but this one is poor, goes to show which bother has got all the talent.The lyrics are shocking; my 4 year old could have written better lyrics.

Their debut was better than this, where's the Rock N Roll gone, this is not a rock album at all, Liam was at his best singing rock, he has got a new style here that's for sure but a pitty it's just a rubbish style. Can he do better?, voice is better but not no where near as good as it used to be, it hurts me to say, coz he was one of the best in his hey day, but those days sound like they are long gone guess that's life sad but true, at least i've got all the old records.......

Gonna just come out and say it. Personally I think dgss is a better record. This is good, enjoyed it, but its lacking stand out tunes. Love Beady eye, Noel and his birds and obviously Oasis so I'm a fan, but feel this is weaker than Noel's and the last Beady eye. Track one rocks. Actually it's better than anything they've ever done. That's the only song that stands out to me. The rest of them are good enough, poor or just plain naff. Don't get me wrong though its a good album (in part) and worth a listen...

I like the way beady eye have brought in a producer to try and get away from the Brit pop sound these musicians have been pleasantly blessing our ears with the last 18 years or so .after all we all know this band needs a direction to not get compared to oasis all the time . I find there are a few good tracks on this album but also a few filler not so good ones . Flick of the finger , is very different to anything they have done before and gives out a cool sort of vibe to it !! The best bit of the song is when the chilled out drums kick in , soul love is a very chilled out song but maybe needs another parts and more layers to it . Iz rite is a strong track on the album reminding us of the glory oasis days and its lyrics are quite touching !! Almost a cross between probably all in the mind and keep the dream alive ... And start a new has the best vocal Liam has recorded in years ! Very natural sounding and builds up to a relaxing psychedelic ending to the song ... Although I do find a few songs on this album a bit all samey due to the stripped down production of just acoustic guitars and little else ! This is refreshing but at the same time makes these nice songs become easy forgettable in time ... Just saying has some nice guitars in there and I find it a very uplifting song and catchy. ! The let down songs for me are shine a light that sounds a bit cheesy and face the crowd is a bit of a unpleasant noise !! A lot of shouting and a little too fast for my liking !! ...... This album is ok ... And you can clearly see the production and vocals etc are a step forward for the band but the songs are either not good or ok with hints of magic in them ... But after a few listens easily forgettable !! This is a step forward but a band that hangs in the shadows of the mighty oasis needs a leap forward ... And this album is far from that !! Maybe Noel is the missing link ?? But a nice album to listen to when winding down at the end of a night out :-)

Great album, very different from DGSS. Liam's vocals are incredible and the instrumentals make this album so sick. 'Im just saying' is the most oasis sounding track on the album.

Changed me mined a grower, keep listening to it - it is a grower - more psychedic dark side of moon next time please ....... Happy beady eye fan .. Buy it and keep playing with a glass of wine and headphones

Brilliant

I was a huge fan of Oasis, seen them live 11 times, and I managed to catch Noel Gallagher in Hong Kong last year with his High Flying Birds. However, Liam's post Oasis exploites were less than inspiring, the first Beady Eye album was average, this one however is much better. I found that after a couple of listens I am really enjoying it, therefore my advice is to keep listening and you will be hooked!

Is second bite of the apple a sample of dirty day by u2 and the who wants to be a millionaire theme tune!

Different Gear, Still Speeding was a great debut album for a group which lets face it were going to be under the spotlight before a single note had been heard..

Then there's BE.. I am avid music fan and love all of the Gallagher Brothers individual and joint work, together with the long standing band mates of Andy Bell, Gem and Chris Sharrock.

BE is on a different level and has a great melodic feel, great use of a wide variety of instruments and in my opinion a superbly produced finished article. Liam's voice is tested? No it is given the stage and freedom to demonstrate its range and raw vocal talent..

My only criticism the Deluxe album is only 15 tracks long.

In two minds whether to buy it? Don't BE, you won't be disappointed!

Much better than his first album

Blinding album, gets better with every listen, proper talented musicians, one of the best frontmen ever period, I am a true fan of oasis, have bought all their albums, Noel's album and beady eyes, this is better than the 1st album.

Great mix of newer sound and old, too keep everyone happy, 2 things, all these people saying let me start by telling you that I am a massive oasis fan , then trashing the album, what kind of fans are they, you either are or you are not!

Secondly, people keep going on about the lyrics, why don't you get a life, have a listen to some of the beatles lyrics, just simple straight forward, I believe that all the people that are moaning about this album, probably don't like Liam, so if that is the case why are you listening at all. there was even a review saying that liam's voice is too whiny, my god where has he been for he last 20 years.

To all the true fans of decent rock and roll, this is a great album, give it a chance.

My favourite tracks are soul love, i'm just saying, and start anew, obviously after the 1st 2 releases.

Best album of 2013 by a long shot, some absolute class tunes on the album! Liam's back to his best! Live forever

The first time I listened to it it just didn't grab me. But I had it on in the car all week and I its actually incredible, i absolutely love it. You need to listen to it a few times before you write a review. The sign of a good album is one you don't get fed up of and this is showing good signs of being that album. And its on its way to being one of my favourite albums. All I can say is give it a chance. And if you're not keen at first listen, play it few more times at volume and then make a judgement.

British Rock. Powerful. In your face. Loud and proud but at times just magical twists and turns.' Well well Mr. Gallagher you have done it again!' Thoughts of Carnaby Street, Chelsea, 1960's........ runs through this album like a stick of Brighton Rock!

Some of the tracks are quite good, others are just embarrassing. The lyrics to some songs seem to be just random words that rhyme, strung together. As a second album, it's nowhere near as good as the first. If we get past the fact it's a legacy band of Oasis, and treat them as a band, it's really not a good album.

Best off buying a few standout tracks and saving having to skip every other song

Listen. Quit all your buzz words, and reviews comparing this to the obvious. Put it on, listen to it as a record in its own right, this is quality! If this was a new band or even oasis' revival album you'd be saying different things- why? Jump off the bandwagon and turn it up!!

Utter Rubbish! Liam's. voice sounds dreadful. As someone else said if this was a new band just starting out they wouldn't stand a chance. Not a patch on Noel's album. Liam give up you've had your time.

After listening to this album I can say that I was bored halfway through and struggled to listen to it all the way. Very dull, drab, boring sound that seems to drone on. Now I am a big Oasis and Liam Gallagher fan but I just can't seem to grasp this album or like anything about it. After 5 songs Liam's whining voice began for the first time to irritate the hell out of me and made me want to just turn it off. The pace of the songs are slow, the lyrics drab, the music old and tiring and it just doesn't do anything for me. I am a little sad as I was so looking forward to heating an upbeat fresh sound from these guys but that didn't happen. Maybe some people will love it but it didn't do it for me

I had really high hopes for this album and it's more than lived up to them. Some real stand out tracks on this album makes this an easy album of the year contender in my eyes, can't wait to see band live and see where they go next.

I've given this album chance but I find it just ends up in the background, is effectively just on and i take no notice of the same old sound and same old lyrics over and over.

After a very promising start with their debut album I was itching to get my hands on this album. I thought Beady Eye were moving in the right direction but this offering is shockingly bad. The quality of songs from start to finish is so below par it's not funny. No matter how blinkered Liam's view is of his band, this album is just not u to scratch. For anyone who ever questioned Noel's songwriting ability this album shows the world perfectly what happens when the chief isn't about. Forget this nonsense and roll on Noel's second album.

Rubbish...only oasis fanatics will buy this! Noes album is quality. This is trash. Need to take a leaf out of bon jovi's book!

Great album, Liam sounds in top form.

On first hearing there are only a few tracks that you immediately like straight away (Flick of the Finger, Soul Love, Second Bite of the Apple etc) but as you give it more hearings the true sound and effects really start to come through and hit you.

The band are writing songs for themselves, not for the mass population so bound to get lots of criticism and mixed reviews.

For me the best track is Start Anew - simply mesmerising and just keeps getting better the more you listen to it.

Looks like Liam and the rest of the guys have learned new skills from their debut album and let's face it, the rock and roll world needs Liam and co to remain true themselves and keep producing their magic.

Well done boys - keep it coming.

This beats different gear still speeding hands down! Some brilliant songs on here and Liam's voice is class! Some brilliant guitar work from Gem as well! My personal favourites are Flick Of The Finger, Second Bite Of The Apple, Soon Come Tomorrow and Start Anew but there's no real bad tunes. Only problem is that it's still a little bit Beatles at times as the last album was, but I still really reccomend it!

Essential listening this album is a lot better than their first!

Probably the most underrated band out right now! People are so brainwashed with what they see and read they are actually incapable of listening to what is real music. Put a pair of head phones on and chill to this and you understand what am talking about.

Good album, good tunes. Pleased with it. Bit mixed up at times and possibly could do with beaing a bit more rock and roll but they went for something different, experimented and I think it paid off. Liam sounds good. Looks good for the future.

Liam is back with vengeance.....this album is brilliant , i like the new direction the band is going in and liams vocals arre on top form! Definitely worth buying this record.

After watching the season ending of Elementary had to find out what the ending tune was, after searching found it to be Start Anew.

Purchased album on the strength of that one track and what a great album this has turned out to be.

Liam's voice is really haunting and memorable.

Give this a listen I think you will be surprised.

I don't care who you are or what your views on LG are, but if you are a true Oasis fan you support both of the Gallagher brothers and there musical exploits. Noel won last year, for me with the two songs that have been released already beady eye are winning this year. Flick of the finger and second bite of the apple are brilliant psychedelic tracks and are a completely new sound and I can't wait to have the album.

If this was a new band minus Liam Gallagher, who would buy or listen to this? The truth is hardly anyone, you're taking fanboyism to a new level.

I think everyone needs this album in there collection its a master piece of forgotten era's mixed in a modern way. Liams best work since Morning Glory imo. Haven't been able to stop listening since i heard this and please people buy it and make it no 1 cos it should be.

First things first I am a huge oasis fan and first beady eye album fan so I was excited to get this in the post today. Jordan your review is irrelevant as you would give it 5 stars anyway whatever it was like. This album is total rubbish. I'm so disappointed to say the least. All the songs are too acoustic with little melody. Shame.

Don't get me wrong - I loved DGSS but this is the Dog's... A brilliant album and I suspect, the best we'll hear all year. I'm still confused as to why SBOTA was the chosen single... I would have thought that every other song was better? I especially love 'I'm Just Saying' and 'Soon Come Tommorrow' - Mega album and not a single bad track or filler. Proper good cover art too!!

Having pretty much given up on Oasis after '96 and thought NGHFB was a little overated....have to admit this is superb. If the remainder of the album is anything like as good...can't wait.

Never rated the debut Beady Eye album, but the sougs released for this so far sound incredible! This will be huge!

Flick of the finger is a quality way to start the album off, you can already hear Liam voice has improved and the band are ready for bigger things again.
