Beautiful album, every track is fantastic

i like helen marnies voice from the ladytron days to this, he voice is silk to my ears, beautiful lyrics

Having listened to Ladytron since 604, it came as a massive surprise to discover that I had missed both their last album and Helen Marnie's solo album during a few years where I fell out of love buying new albums. Now, while exploring my new Sonos, I discover I'd missed two fantastic albums. Marnie's solo album is sort of Ladytron meets Felt Mountain era Goldfrapp, which is no bad thing. Atmospheric is the word which best sums it up, but fantastic will do just as well.

Superb album from Helen, really enjoying it!!

I picked this up only recently and regretted not getting it sooner. It is such a beautiful album full of tracks that once you hear them you will want to hear them again and again. Amazing production and such a hypnotic voice. I look forward to the next cd. I cannot wait.

Ladytronesque hard and dark wonders alongside Stunning, towering, shifting, weaving, dipping, diving, epic, electro-lullabies. I'm getting headaches from holding back tears listening to this album...(over and over again).

I'd drip feed it into my psyche if I could.

Best album since... the last album Marnie was involved in. Which was also awesome.

A truly fantastic album. Similar in style to Ladytron's Gravity the Seducer but actually, in my mind at least, better. Not one bad track!!!!

This is a brilliant album. I was desperate for it to be good, but am amazed at just how majestic it is.

Her voice comes across beautifully, but some of the instrumental bits are just epic. The last minute of 'Laura' could become my ringtone, but I'd be unlikely to answer my phone

I was hoping this would be the best electro album of the decade and it was.

Beautiful and ethereal like Marnie herself it is obvious that a lot of time has been taken to craft this masterpiece .A couple of plays and you will not put it down.

Aural Gold! Gold, the track, is simply beautiful. Hearts On Fire also delivers for any Ladytron fan. Definitely deserves recognition as quality work.

waited eagerly for this cd and haven't been disappointed. it's generally very good, but there are three tracks which stand out for me and which i can't stop playing. chief among these is 'submariner' which builds from a jaunty, almost throwaway beginiing to a booming epic finale which washes you out into a stormy sea of sound and emotion: perfect. there are musical touches here that remind me of 'world of water' by new musik for you oldies out there...

aso worth a mention are 'gold' and 'sugarland', the former a heartbreaking, perfectly paced reflection on a failing relationship [my interpretation] which gathers pace and a beat two thirds of the way through, and the latter a banging tune made for hot days driving with the windows down... also perhaps the track most like ladytron.

this cd is a perfect standalone piece of work rather than the aimless musings of a band member on a break, and i can wholeheartedly recommend it to you: it will be a big feature of my listening now and for a long time to come.

To me the waiting for marnies pledge music created album was a killer. Her work with ladytron is unblemished so it could of been risky creating anything out of the usual sound but this album will kill you, it is a brilliant journey through the mind of one of the uk's best artists. Buy it. Now!
