Nice one!

Love it but, thankfully,as we now have the ability to place tracks in a sequence we want,I can put the awful dud that is track 2 to the very end. That way,I can listen to it all without having to be around to skip it and can switch it off before it lands.
If that track wasn't here it would have gotten a five star rating from me,but hey, it is otherwise pretty brilliant!

The now sound of yesterday

Ok the positives first. FF have not only worn their influences on their sleeves but have worked with the most influential of early electronic post punk pioneers (TG, Cabaret Voltaire, Mark Stewart, Stephen Morris and Peter Gordon).
I have waited a long time for this album and knew that it would be good. It is a good album but not a great album.
FF have dispensed with a lot of the experimental sound with an electro album on par with Subway or even latter day Chemical Brothers. I can only really say this is a 7 track album as 3 are mere interludes. So I am disappointed in one way and hope more material is released sooner!

The next best thing

Just saw their gig at Rough Trade - they sound like legends already! The sound is so strong and refined yet raw and energetic-electric!

Not bad

Among the 10 tracks of this highly anticipated album, three of them are mere interludes, and one track is a fairly old, albeit brilliant, single. As good as the rest of the stuff is, this feels kinda like a let down. Or am I being unfair?
