Brett Dennen is one of my favourite artists, I’m saying this as a fan: The first time I listened to this album I loved the first half and hate the second half of it. After a few months of listening to it, nearly constantly, I have to admit I was wrong. So, so, so wrong. It’s a perfect album, from the energetic ‘Wild Child’ to the tender ‘Only Want You’, it’s quickly becoming one of my favourite albums. If anything, I now prefer the second half of the album. A must buy for all Brett Dennen fans, an unmissable album from a great artist.

Just when I think he can't create any better material than the previous album smoke and mirrors offers a beautiful and creative collection of songs right from the heart !
