My favourite Kate Bush Album by far. I remember getting this out of the local library on vinyl....God it was about 1988ish and played it on my cheapo turntable. I was totally transfixed from start to finish. While all of the songs are different, they all seem to go together, somehow making the album feel like a whole connected experience rather than lots of separate tracks which musically do not bare any relation to each other. Thats how it still seems to my ears 28 years later. Every song is genuinely magical. You really need to own all of her albums, as they are all great up to The Red Shoes. At that stage and afterwards, I need to cherry pick my favourite songs of which there are many, but in my opinion her greatest tracks are on all of the albums up and including The Sensual World (a great album also). Getting to know her music over time from the 70s with Wuthering Heights (blew me away as a small child) all through the 80s and 90s is a big part of my musical memory bank which I enjoyed so much.
