A unique and overlooked gem

I have no other album that sounds anything like this! Kitschy, campy ... and rocking. The sounds conjured up on this album are like bing splashed in the face with a bucket of cold water. Loads of great tracks with arresting lyrics on this but the standout for me is Baby's On Fire which has surely one of the greatest guitar solos ever.

Inventive King of Cool

I was 15 when this was originally released and is an all time favourite album. In the days before videos when individual memories are etched in your mind with the songs together with times, places, styles and escapes. Original, ethereal, classic.

Masterpiece - Style and Wit

Over 40 years old. And yet this record is as fresh as a daisy. Every song is inventive. The lyrics are fantastic. He takes this piss out of Monsieur Ferry on 'Dead Finks Don't Talk'. Chris Spedding, Phil Manzanera, Robert Fripp all contribute brilliantly to this
creative rock n roll outing. No wonder everyone wanted to work with him. His four solo works in the 70s are all great.
