This album is unique in terms of the material contained within.

Its flows from style to style exploring varying genres of music from the Gospel cover of Mary Mary's Shackles through to Ishq Tum Bin a composition by Parlett fusing Indian Santoor & Tabla with a Bob James style Soprano and piano top line.

The originals on the track shine through with a fine composition featuring Incognito singer Joy Rose Called TRUE LOVE written by Joy & Luke Smith.

First fruits and original written by Mike Parlett & Paul Watson features the Morrissey Mullen/Average White band guitar legend Jim Mullen with some wonderful dueting between Mike and Jim.

The ballads on the album include the worship chorus 'As The Deer' and 'Hallowed be thy Name' plus a beautiful rendition of the Donnie McKlerkin classic 'Speak to my Heart' with Mike on Soprano sax sounding like Ronnie Laws.

The musicianship and arranging on the album are certainly up with that of the US counterparts and some impressive solos can be heard from the participants.

Generally a very well put together and balanced work.

Should create a lot of interest in the Gospel and Jazz market in the UK and beyond.
