Mellow Ure

Midge has mellowed gone are the Anthem power songs from Ultravox and his solo projects. This album is subdued and dark, stand out out tracks "Let it Rise" shows Ure in fine voice, "Become" is more up beat and poppy. Good album with fine textures, sublime vocals and plenty of depth. I think "Fragile" is probably one of his best albums,Midge has taken his time and lived a little also to come up with unique album well worth a listen, recommended.

Amazing Work of Art

This is by far Midge Ure's finest work to date. Breathe and Move Me are amazing albums too, but this tops the lot. It's by far the best album I have listened to in a long time, maybe ever! A lyrical masterpiece.
Never want him to stop making music. He's something special. ❤️

Excellent

I've followed Midge Ure since 1981 and seen him live many times (with bands & solo). This is a brilliant album and highlights yet again his ability to craft good songs and his passionate and well honed musicianship. In these days of 'manufactured commercial rubbish' this is a true gem. Well done.

Fragile in title but strong in quality !

The album contains beautiful seemingly heartfelt lyrics put to great music.
Midge Ure's voice is as timeless & perfect as ever. The music sings to you in its own independent right.
Fragile may have been some time in the making but it's crafted to perfection & was well worth the wait.
The album shows a great deal of maturity & years of experience from a musical master.
Whether an existing fan or someone new to Midges music this album will not disappoint.

Back to best

Become is a fantastic track with Midge reprising the style of music which brought him so much acclaim in the early 80's, but with a more up to date club-like feel to it. The bouncy rhythm and catchy chorus instantly gets into your head and is guaranteed to be a real ear worm
I have now listened to the entire album and "wow, wow, wow". Simply stunningly beautiful. I'm lost for words!

Less is more ................

When modern artists try to break every rule by minipulating sounds to blind us with new technological musical wizardry, Midge Ure transports us to a place where simply beautiful well worked 'less is more' melodies with overtones of nostalgic key changes which conjure up memories of great british pop music of the past; yet twist with after tastes similar to that of drinking a fine wine; light, refreshing, with an overtones of Howard Jones, Asia, Dream Theater, Groove Armada. Strange Cocktail? Just sit back and listen to 'Star Crossed'. The rest of the album just falls into place.

Beautiful and passionate

The tracks released so far under pre-order and also the tasters of all the songs at www.midgeure.hypertension-music.de are so beautiful and passionate. This promises to be a sublime album and I can't wait to listen to it in its entirety.
Of the tracks released so far:
I Survived is poignant and searing
Let It Rise is one of the all-time most beautiful songs I have ever heard. So passionate and atmospheric.
Become is inspirational (and I love the video for it)
Fragile brings a lump to the throat in its intensity

Midge has delivered Brilliance again!

After Move Me I never thought I would hear anything better....how wrong was I? VERY! Not only did Ultravox reform and bring us 'Brilliant' in 2012, which can I say was a fantastic return to form and vastly underrated, now we get 'Fragile'...a brand new collection of songs perfectly crafted by Midge. All I can say is wow....I love 'Become' and the way it gives that nod to the 80s/Gift period which I have great memories of. I cannot wait to buy this and listen to it 'old school'. Well done Midge...10 out of 10 for me 8-)
